Bonfield is a township in northeastern Ontario, Canada, on the Mattawa River in Nipissing District. It is connected to Ontario Highway 17 by Ontario Highway 531. In 2007, Bonfield, along with the town of Mattawa and the townships of Papineau- Cameron, Mattawan and Calvin formed a partnership to create a newly branded Mattawa Voyageur Country tourist region to promote the area.

The area offers Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, the Canadian Ecology Centre, the Eau Claire Gorge Conservation Area, and the Voyageur Multi-Use Trail System.

Township of Strong surrounds Lake Bernard, which is claimed to be the world’s largest freshwater lake without an island. Burk’s Falls is an incorporated village in the Almaguin Highlands region of Parry Sound District, located 265 kilometers north of Toronto and 90 kilometers south of North Bay, Ontario. The village and the on-site waterfall were named by David Francis Burk of Oshawa, after he selected the land surrounding the waterfall in the Free Land Grant Act. Burk’s Falls is part of the waterway.

Kearney is a town and municipality in the Almaguin Highlands region of Parry Sound district. With a landmass of 531 square kilometers, Kearney claims to be the “Biggest Little Town in Ontario.”
