SAR rescued subject and passed over to BCAS. 09 09:20 SWE LAND 1 11 1 11 Squamish SAR members responded to a 210985 seizing hiker on the Chief. The subject was able to walkout with the help of SAR and handed over to BCAS. SAR stood down. 09 13:15 VIR LAND 1 14 1 26 Comox Valley SAR members responded to 210986 search for a missing male in the Trent River area near Courtenay. SAR stood down as subject may be hiding intentionally. SAR was called out once again, located the subject deceased and passed over to BC Coroner Service. 09 13:28 SWE LAND 1 11 1 11 Squamish SAR members responded to injured 210987 male dirt biker on Blindside Trail. SAR rescued the subject and brought them out to BCAS. 09 13:50 SWE LAND 1 15 1 15 Sunshine Coast SAR and North Shore Rescue 210988 members responded to female hiker with chest pain on Pender Hill. Subject was brought out by helicopter and passed to ambulance for transport to hospital. 09 16:39 VIR LAND 1 12 1 12 Powell River SAR members responded to 210989 search for a despondent subject in the Wildwood region. Team located evidence on the shore and believe individual jumped into the ocean. RCMP dive team was brought in and SAR stood down. 09 19:54 VIR LAND 1 15 1 15 Nanaimo SAR members responded to 210990 assistance for a missing person in Nanaimo. SAR stood down after RCMP located the subject. 09 20:30 SWE INLAND 5 5 Coquitlam SAR members responded to 210991 WATER investigate a flare sighting on Pitt Lake. No distressed people were found. 09 23:46 SWE LAND 1 1 Ridge Meadows SAR member responded for a 210992 radio distress call near Golden Ears Park. SAR provided advice to RCMP. 10 12:23 VIR INLAND 3 42 1 2 42 Bella Coola SAR, Campbell River SAR, South 210993 WATER Cariboo SAR, Central Cariboo SAR and PEP Air members responded to RCMP request to investigate an overturned boat floating down the Bella Coola River. 1 subject located deceased and SAR suspended due to poor weather conditions. 10 12:46 SEA LAND 1 12 1 12 Nelson SAR members responded to a 210994 despondent female in the area of Pulpit Rock. Subject was located deceased and transferred to the BC Coroner Service. 10 16:38 VIR LAND 1 1 Comox Valley SAR member responded to locate 210995 a PLB that was activated north of Cumberland. RCMP determined this was a non-issue and stood SAR down. 10 16:52 SWE LAND 1 14 1 11 Ridge Meadows SAR and Coquitlam SAR 210996 members responded to rescue a hiker with a head injury on Evans Peak. Subject was picked up by HETS and transferred over to air ambulance. 10 18:23 VIR LAND 2 8 2 8 Alberni Valley Rescue Squad members 210997 responded to 2 stranded hikers on the Inlet Trail. The subjects were located and taken to their vehicles not requiring medical attention. 10 19:04 VIR LAND 1 15 1 15 Nanaimo SAR members responded to search 210998 for a lost biker in the Mount Benson area near Nanaimo. Team was successful in locating the subject and escorting to safety. 10 19:13 SWE AIR ELT 3 3 PEP Air SWE members responded to an ELT 210999 sounding at the Langley Airport. ELT was silenced prior to arrival. 10 19:16 VIR INLAND 1 3 1 3 Nanaimo SAR members responded to an 210000 WATER unconscious subject on Snake Island in Nanaimo Harbour. SAR was stood down when the patient left the island on their jet ski. 10 22:50 VIR LAND 2 8 2 8 Alberni Valley Rescue Squad members 210001 responded to 2 people who went missing driving between Port Alberni and Sarita. SAR was stood down while mustering after the subjects made contact and reported they had suffered some vehicle issues. 11 08:24 SWE AIR ELT 3 3 PEP Air SWE members responded to an ELT 211002 sounding at the Langley Airport. ELT was located and silenced. 11 11:37 VIR LAND 1 15 1 15 Comox Valley SAR members responded to 211003 rescue an injured hiker on the Circlet Lake Trail in Strathcona Park. SAR rescued subject and transferred to BCAS 11 13:24 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 Lions Bay SAR members responded by 211004 helicopter to the East Lions for a fallen climber. Subject was discovered deceased and extracted by SAR and transferred to the RCMP and BC Coroners Service. 11 13:58 CTL INLAND 1 3 1 3 Kelowna Fire Department Marine Rescue 211005 WATER members responded to a swimmer yelling for help off Strathcona Park. Subject self rescued and walked away. 11 14:03 SEA LAND 1 5 1 5 South Columbia SAR members responded to an 211006 injured hiker on the Antenna Trail in Trail. SAR was stood down by BCAS 11 15:10 SWE LAND 1 9 1 9 North Shore Rescue members responded to a 211007 despondent subject on Mount Strachan in West Vancouver. Subject was located deceased and handed off to BC Coroners Service. 11 16:20 VIR LAND 1 7 1 7 Nanaimo SAR members responded to search for 211008 a missing elderly female with dementia, last seen in the Uplands Drive area, near Nanaimo. The woman was located by RCMP and SAR was stood down. 11 16:27 CTL INLAND 1 6 1 6 RCMSAR Rescue 1 members responded to a 211009 WATER missing swimming in Mara Lake. Subject was not located and RCMSAR marked way points for the RCMP dive team. 11 17:59 CTL INLAND 1 8 1 8 Penticton Fire Rescue and Osyoos Fire Rescue 211010 WATER members responded to a floating Sea Doo and a subject in the water. Subject was on land upon arrival. 11 19:57 SEA LAND 6 5 6 5 Fernie SAR and Sparwood SAR members 211011 responded to an SOS activation for 6 lost hikers in the Elk Valley area. Friends of the subjects were able to make contact via InReach and all hikers are now together and everyone is fine, therefore SAR stood down. 11 20:22 CTL LAND 1 19 1 19 Vernon SAR members responded to BCAS 211012 request to rescue an injured 17 Y/O who sustained head injuries after rolling a quad near Becker Lake. The subject was located, packaged, and hiked out to BCAS. 11 20:36 SEA LAND 13 1 13 1 Nakusp SAR member responded for overdue 211013 hikers (a group 6 adults and 7 kids) near Fostal Falls. SAR stood down and group arrived at their planned location. 11 21:07 SEA INLAND 2 2 2 2 Balfour/Harrop Fire Department members 211014 WATER responded to a boat in distress on Kootenay Lake. Boat was towed back and subjects were dropped back on shore safely. 12 10:31 CTL LAND 1 7 1 7 Shuswap SAR members responded to an injured 211015 hiker at Evelyn Falls. SAR team were stood down by BCAS as ambulance was able to attend and bring the subject out from the trail. 12 17:41 VIR INLAND 1 36 1 36 Saltspring SAR members responded to a 211016 WATER subject in water at St. Mary's Lake. SAR was not able to locate anything and was stood down. 12 18:17 VIR LAND 1 22 1 22 Arrowsmith SAR members responded to search 211017 for a missing person around Englishman River Falls. Subject was located alive and well and brought out to safety. 12 19:16 SWE LAND 1 21 1 21 South Fraser SAR members responded to 211018 search for a missing male last seen at his house in Surrey. SAR was not able to locate anything and was stood down. SAR team was reactivated, located the subject deceased and passed on to the BC Coroner Service. 12 21:59 VIR LAND 1 21 1 21 Arrowsmith SAR members responded to rescue 211019 a female that was lost at the mouth of the Englishman River Estuary on the bank. Subject was rescued by SAR in good condition. 13 11:17 SWE LAND 1 5 1 5 South Fraser SAR members responded to 211020 search for a missing female with dementia that was last seen in the Bear Creek Area.
