The overall goal is to design a building that is of its time, but timeless in its response to the context, as well as didactic in its expression of its high performance systems. The proposed building is a five-story, cross laminated timber (CLT) structure designed to the Living Building Challenge (LBC) guidelines. The ground floor uses include retail space on SW 1st Avenue and SW Pine Street, an office lobby on SW 1st Avenue, a bike hub including bike storage, showers, restrooms and lockers for tenant use, and mechanical and electrical space.
