Status CAMP STAFF APPLICATION Use this application to apply for seasonal camp employment opportunities with the Oregon Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Summer Camp Staff Camp Baker hosts both Boy Scout and Cub Scout resident camp programs, and Camp Melakwa hosts Boy Scout camp programs only. The minimum age for most positions are 15, 18, and 21 years of age depending on position and level of responsibility. Counselor-in-Training / Volunteer Staff (unpaid position) Scouts between the ages of 14 and 17 can be trained as summer camp staff through the counselor-in-training program, volunteering 2 or more weeks to experience what it is like to work at a Boy Scout summer camp. At Oregon Trail Council camps, CITs must attend Staff Week. Opportunities for individuals over the age of 18 to volunteer for all or part of the summer season are also available (including, but not limited to, serving as a commissioner, medic/physician, assistant ranger or chaplain).
