Leslie Marshall Is a nationally syndicated radio talk host, Fox News Contributor and blog columnist for The Huffington Post. Leslie is no newcomer to the world of talk radio; she has been a radio talk host for 27 years and a pundit on national television for the past decade. Leslie became the youngest person ever to be nationally syndicated on radio when she replaced Tom Snyder on the ABC Satellite Radio Network in 1992. She was also the first woman to host an issues oriented program nationwide. Originally from Boston, Leslie earned her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and attended Emerson College’s Master’s program in Broadcast Journalism. Marshall started her broadcasting career as a radio news reporter in Boston. Hoping to branch out into television, Leslie took her news skills to Miami, Florida. While in Miami, Leslie broadened her skills by doing news, traffic, weather and even disc jockey work. One night, when hosting an overnight nostalgic music program, Leslie did a special “Remembrance” hour in which Veterans called in with their experiences. It was that night that Leslie was discovered by a Program Director at the talk station across town. He phoned her, and told she might have missed her calling…. After years of anchoring, reporting and hosting music programs, Leslie decided to give talk radio a try; and after one show, she was hooked! Leslie started her talk radio career at WNWS in Miami where she remained for 3 years. Leslie’s career next moved her to host mid-days at WGR in Buffalo, followed by mid-days at KPRC in Houston; all the while, the network was watching. In 1992, Leslie was asked to replace Tom Snyder on the ABC Satellite Radio Network. Her program ran for 3 years on over 200 stations nationwide. 99 Canal Center Plaza, Suite 100, Alexandria, VA 22314 Office: 703.373.9974 | www.WWSG.com After 3 years the network disbanded and Leslie went to work for WLS/FM in Chicago hosting an afternoon drive talk show. After the OJ Simpson trial ended, Leslie decided she needed a change of pace and followed her heart to San Francisco to marry her love of nearly 8 years. Leslie then joined the great line up at KGO radio in San Francisco and also hosted a midday show on KHTK/Hot Talk in Sacramento. On television she guest hosted “Bay Talk” on KRON T.V., the local NBC affiliate in the city by the bay. Two years later, Chicago missed Leslie and asked her to return. She did and worked early evenings on WLS AM; in addition, she sat in on “Beyond the Beltway” on WGR TV and remained in Chicago for over 2 years. Long distance love is tough, but even tougher on a marriage; so when Leslie’s husband was offered a job opportunity in Los Angeles, she joined him. Once in L.A., Leslie hosted talk shows on KFI, KLSX and KABC radio on the weekends, and was finally signed to KLAC, KFI’s sister station at it’s inception. KLAC remained a talk station for 2 years and Leslie was there the entire time hosting early evening weeknights. When KLAC flipped formats, Leslie decided to stay in Los Angeles with her husband. Since KLAC flipped to music, Leslie lent her voice to the then “ New Choice New Voice AM 1520, a 50,000 watt powerhouse heard throughout the Northeast. At the time, Leslie also filled in for Alan Colmes on the Fox Radio Network as well as Jim Bohannon on the Westwood One Radio Network. Leslie’s midday show was a success, and many sought to syndicate her. At the same time, a TV Producer asked her boss at KLAC if Leslie ‘looked as good as she sounded,” they gave Leslie a shot at being a guest, and then one by one nearly every network wanted Leslie on as a Guest. She’s been seen on: Fox, Fox Business, CNN, CBS, MSNBC, CNBC, HLN and more. On CNBC she was a regular member of the Varsity Panel on “The Dennis Miller Show.” In 2008, Fox News Channel recognized Leslie was special. Presenting and debating politics and social issues from a liberal, progressive & Democrat point of view, they asked her to be a contributor and she gladly accepted. 99 Canal Center Plaza, Suite 100, Alexandria, VA 22314 Office: 703.373.9974 | www.WWSG.com In addition to her radio and television career, Leslie occasionally lends her talents in the acting arena.
