    XVII Jornadas Ganaderas de Pergamino 2006 Estudio Ganadero Pergamino 17 MERCADO DE HACIENDA DE LINIERS TRADICIÓN Y TECNOLOGÍA AL SERVICIO DEL PRODUCTOR Jorge Aguirre Urreta Presidente del Centro de Consignatarios de Productos del País El momento actual ha puesto en la tapa de los diarios al Mercado de Hacienda de Liniers, que lleva más de un siglo cumpliendo su objetivo de ser un mercado concentrador de hacienda, formador y orientador de los precios ganaderos en la República Argentina. No debemos olvidar que este mercado concentra alrededor del 20 % de la faena total del país, y el 50% de la faena del Gran Buenos Aires. Ordenaremos esta charla en seis módulos temáticos, comenzando por un rápido repaso de la historia del mercado, centrándonos en su concesión a Mercado de Liniers S.A. y los vectores de la nueva administración. Seguidamente hablaremos del traslado a San Vicente y las prórrogas a la concesión, temas hoy de total actualidad. Terminando con un mensaje explicativo de qué quieren los consignatarios. En 1884 se tomó la decisión de mudar el mercado de Parque Patricios, conocido como de los “Corrales Viejos”, a un nuevo predio más acorde a las necesidades del momento. El nuevo lugar no tenía nombre oficial. A veces se lo nombraba diciendo que estaba media legua al sur de Liniers, pero pronto se lo llamó “Nueva Chicago” por la similitud de la moderna obra que se estaba realizando, comparándola con el mercado existente en esa ciudad norteamericana, en aquellos años lo más avanzado que existía. Luego de casi veinte años de construcción se inaugura el 2 de mayo de 1901, es decir, que tiene 105 años.

San Lorenzo en el Bajo Flores 3- ¿Cuál es su opinión sobre la política llevada a cabo por el ex Intendente de facto Brigadier Osvaldo Cacciatore de entregar grandes terrenos en el sur de Buenos Aires a clubes deportivos y sociales? ¿Considera que condicionó las características de urbanización de la zona sur? San Lorenzo, que ya tenía terrenos en la zona desde los 60, ¿se vio perjudicado? 4- ¿Le parece probable que en 20 años las villas de emergencia del sur de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (p.ej: la villa 1-11-14) sean lugares similares a, por ejemplo, el Barrio Manuel Dorrego (“Los Perales”)? Considera que la apuesta del club San Lorenzo de concentrar su infraestructura en el Bajo Flores y crecer con la zona es una apuesta segura? La Vuelta de San Lorenzo a Boedo Desde hace varios años grupos de socios del Club San Lorenzo de Almagro vienen impulsando que el club recupere presencia en Boedo (por ejemplo, la agrupación De Boedo Vengo ha presentado en 2007 el “Proyecto La Gloriosa Vuelta a Avenida La Plata”; hay también proyectos de agrupaciones como la Subcomisión del Hincha).

    Executive Summary Gentrification and displacement are affecting urban neighborhoods around the world. Organizations working in this line of research, including the Urban Displacement Project (UDP), have historically focused on these processes in the Global North, such as the United States.1 The UDP methodology describes elements of vulnerability and identifies communities that are at risk of, or that are already experiencing, gentrification or displacement. It is meant as an early-warning tool that can be used by policymakers and community members to mitigate displacement before it disrupts communities. UDP’s research began in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has since expanded to other metropolitan areas in the United States. The purpose of this research project is to expand the UDP methodology to Buenos Aires, Argentina. It also aims to incorporate additional research methods, including big data analysis, to elucidate a deeper understanding of these processes at play. An additional focus of the research is the economic districts program that the City of Buenos Aires began implementing in the late 2000s. The special economic districts have notably been designated in lower-income neighborhoods in the city, which may create the potential for gentrification and displacement. Our team was connected with researchers and students at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella for the duration of this project; they were invaluable partners in informing our research methods, connecting us with interviewees, and providing us with secondary data. Through a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, this report explores gentrification and displacement in Buenos Aires, attempting to elicit similarities and differences compared to the U.S.-centric narratives.

Por ferias internadas, o multipunto, se entiende a los establecimientos que se componen de un predio común y, en su interior, contienen una cantidad determinada de locales o puestos de venta –mínimo seis–, independientes entre sí y todos locatarios del habilitante del predio general. Estas ferias a menudo son denominadas “saladitas”, en referencia a La Salada, importante feria ubicada en el partido de Lomas de Zamora, en la provincia de Buenos Aires. La Cámara Argentina de Comercio, siguiendo una trayectoria de combate contra la ilegalidad en el sector y teniendo en cuenta los principios de quienes la fundaron, ha puesto, recientemente, particular atención en las ferias internadas realizando una nueva modalidad de relevamiento. Analizando la información del mismo fue que se verificó, por ejemplo, que más del 50% de las ferias poseen productos falsificados o de dudoso origen. Es en este contexto que la CAC busca apoyar firmemente la necesidad de que exista competencia leal, donde toda actividad comercial se lleve a cabo sujeta al cumplimiento de las leyes y regulaciones, tanto en materia laboral, fiscal y de seguridad. En este sentido la entidad ha manifestado reiteradas veces ante las autoridades su preocupación por el crecimiento de la venta ilegal en sus distintas modalidades: venta callejera, contrabando, falsificación, subfacturación, venta de mercadería robada, comercialización en negro, entre otras.

In particular, exposure to high concentrations of small particulates (PM10 and PM2.5) is related to increased mortality and morbidity. In Argentina, only at Buenos Aires city (34.4° S 58.3° W), which together with the surrounding districts accounts for the 30% of the total country population, continuous measurements of air quality are carried out. Though ground-based stations provide very accurate PM concentration values, they have very limited spatial coverage and may not be sufficient to assess the level of population exposure. Satellite-based is a valid alternative to fill these observational gaps. In this work, the MODIS 3 km × 3 km AOD retrievals for 2014, for both Terra and Aqua, were employed to evaluate the spatio-temporal variation of atmospheric aerosols over Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area in a year period.
