Bury My Heart is alright, while Distorting A Code is our least favorite. Seit den späten 90ern gelten The Distillers als Ikonen des Punk Rock an der Westküste Amerikas, wo sie ihn zu dem geformt haben, was er heute ist: Laut, direkt und immer mit voller Wucht. Gekennzeichnet durch einen kruden und kratzigen Gitarren-Sound wurde die Musik der Punker um Frontfrau Brody Dalle schnell zum Aushängeschild der kalifornischen Punkszene. Mittlerweile sind 20 turbulente Jahre mit zwischenzeitlicher Bandtrennung und etlichen Soloprojekten Brody Dalles vergangen und The Distillers kehren als die Band zurück, als die wir sie vor nunmehr zwei Dekaden kennengelernt haben. Für die Band aber noch nicht genug: Vor Kurzem haben die Kalifornier bestätigt, dass sie an ihrem ersten Album seit der Reunion vor zwei Jahren arbeiten.
