Angus/Red Angus Genetics Five Rivers requires the cattle to be a minimum of 50% Red- or Black-Angus genetics. No Dairy or Brahman influence. 2. U.S. Origin All cattle must be born and raised in the United States. Producers are required to document cattle origin and/or brand ID on the Five Rivers affidavit. 3. Less than 30 Months of Age The Five Rivers Natural program requires cattle be of “A” maturity (under 30 months of age) at slaughter. 4. Certification All cattle must have been born, raised, finished, and slaughtered in compliance with the Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC) Standards for beef cattle. These standards are included in this manual and are available online at www.certifiedhumane.org. 5. Ranch Inspections The Five Rivers Natural program requires that a minimum of 10% of suppliers be inspected annually for compliance. Inspections are conducted by a Five Rivers representative or approved 3rd party. Five Rivers Cattle Feeding Natural Producer Manual Last Revised: 3/16/18 Documentation 1. Confirmation of Understanding of Program Requirements Following a review of this producer manual and Certified Humane standards, all direct suppliers to the Five Rivers Natural program are required to sign a confirmation of understanding of program requirements. 2. Five Rivers Natural Affidavit All producers, raising and feeding Natural cattle for Five Rivers, are responsible for completing their respective section of the Affidavit, maintaining a copy for your records, and forwarding the original to next owner. An affidavit is required for each contract of natural program calves. All natural affidavits must be on site at the receiving feedlot within one month of the feeder delivery date and will accompany or precede the finished cattle to the packing plant. I have reviewed these standards and understand that if for any reason my operation is not in full compliance; my cattle may be ineligible for the Five Rivers Natural program until corrective actions have been made. To ensure this, I understand a representative from Five Rivers Natural and/or approved 3rd party may visit my operation to confirm compliance. I agree, to the best of my ability, to raise cattle while under my direct control in compliance with the requirements laid out by the Five Rivers Natural Program. Lutalyse, Prostamate, Ralgro, Revalor, Synovex, MGA, Heifermax, Optaflexx, Zilmax. • Never received antibiotics; including ionophores. Antibiotics - Advocin, AS700, LA200, Aureomycin, Baytril, Biomycin, CTC, Draxxin, • Never been fed any animal-derived feedstuffs. Neomycin, Enroflox, Erythromycin, Excede, Excenel, Gallimycin, Gentocin, Hexasol, • A minimum of 50% Red or Black Angus Genetics. Micotil, Naxcel, Norfenicol, Nuflor, Oxytetracycline, Penicillin, Pulmotil, Resflor, • No Dairy influence. Spectinomycin, Sulfa's, Terramycin, Tetradure, Tylan, Tylovet, Zactran, Zuprevo. • U.S. Born and Raised origin. Ionophores - Bovatec, Cattlyst, Gain-Pro, Rumensin, V-Max. • Been raised in compliance w/ HFAC Animal Care Feedstuffs - Feather meal, Fish Oil, Tallow, Poultry Litter, Yellow Grease Standards for beef cattle. Milk Replacer(post-wean). All records must be retained for a minimum of three years and made accessible to a Five Rivers Representative or approved 3rd party. Any animals that have been treated with disallowed substances or have questionable eligibility must be accurately identified or physically segregated. Copies of documentation such as affidavits & feedstuff labels related to verifying compliance with production protocol must be kept on file for at least 3 years.
