Japhet Asher Polarity Reversal {United Kingdom}

Japhet has created, written, produced and/or overseen content for Nickelodeon, Disney, CBBC, CBeebies, MTV, ABC, CBS, HBO, Fox, CANAL+ and more. He launched the CBBC and CBeebies YouTube channels and was in charge of digital content for CBBC during its most successful era to date. Japhet started out as a Writer and Documentary Maker, making films for ABC, PBS and HBO. He went on to become a partner in the groundbreaking animation studio Colossal Pictures, which produced the very first MTV ID and made many more identity campaigns for most major kids and youth channels. Colossal is widely credited with turning broadcast graphics into interstitial entertainment, culminating in the TV series Japhet created for MTV and the BBC, Liquid Television. Japhet’s work has earned Emmy, BAFTA and Oscar recognition. After 25 years working in the United States, primarily as a television writer/producer and interactive content maker, Japhet returned to the UK in 2004. He joined the BBC as an executive producer overseeing Children’s development and was subsequently in charge of digital content for CBBC, where he developed the channel’s mobile and app strategy as well as establishing YouTube channels for CBBC and CBeebies. Japhet left the BBC to found Polarity Reversal where he writes and develops original IP and consults for publishing, broadcast and digital companies. Miki is responsible for brand, content and creative strategy at Hopster, UK’s leading TV and learning app for pre-school kids that helps them learn through the shows they love. Marie has dedicated her career to kids and family programming. She started at Moonscoop overseeing International Distribution & Consumer Products across all media for iconic properties such as “Code Lyoko”, “SamSam” or “Geronimo Stilton”. She then moved to Cyber Group Studios leading the International Sales, Acquisitions & New Media team before joining GO-N International as Head of Sales & Business Development and launching the popular preschool series “Simon” on the global market. Since 2019, Marie is Head of Global Distribution for Ankama Group, in charge of expanding their commercial activities for all of their current and future animated productions through the brand “Planet Nemo by Ankama”. Marie is also Member of the Audiovisual Export Commission of the CNC (Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée). Marie holds a Master in Management from Paris IX Dauphine Faculty, an MBA from Nicholls State University (USA) and a Master of Law and Administration of Audiovisual Communication from Paris I Sorbonne Faculty.

Nick Dorra Haruworks {Finland}

Nick is a seasoned animation and digital content Executive with 20 years of experience in animation, interactive storytelling and related fields. In 2018 he co-founded Haruworks, an animation with a mission to create social and behavioural change through high-quality childrens’ content. Prior to Haruworks, Nick was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the New York-based video start-up incubator Thirty Labs (created by digital media visionary Fred Seibert). From 2011 to 2015 Nick worked at Rovio, the “Angry Birds” makers. There, he was tasked with integrating and growing the newly acquired animation team from ten to 100+ artists, overseeing all aspects of production, also joining Rovio’s operation management team. Barbara Fuchs is an Interactive Commissioning Editor in ARTE France’s Digital Department. She is responsible for the editorial supervision and coordination of programmes such as web series (non-fiction/fiction), VR/AR/XR experiences or video games. In 2017, Barbara took a sabbatical year from ARTE and worked six months at the Center for Documentary Art Uniondocs in Brooklyn, NY. She spent the remaining half year in South America dedicated to creative projects. Barbara is participating in the selection of the 2020 Sundance New Frontier Story Lab projects as an external reader.

Damien leads the digital development of the international publishing group Bayard Jeunesse, where he has worked for the last 10 years, developing both e-commerce and digital products. Bayard just launched Bayam, an innovative platform for kids from 3 to 11. Based in Montreal since 2012, Damien is in charge of Tobo Studio, Bayard’s digital development studio. From 2012 to 2014, he worked for Tribal Nova (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) as VP product development and head of the studio. In 2005, he entered Bayard Group to take charge of the development of digital content and e-commerce. In 2000, he joined cHmAn, a French online game start-up with in the capital, where he specialized in new business model development. Marc Goodchild joined Turner EMEA in January 2017 as Head of Digital Content Strategy & Product. In this role, he is responsible for the overall content strategy and digital content vision for EMEA, working in close collaboration with all regional content and digital teams. He also leads the EMEA Central Digital Team and provides support and editorial guidance to the local heads of digital, alongside the central research, commercial, advertising sales, marketing, PR and franchise management teams. Born in 1971, Joseph Jacquet has been working for 20 years in the book field. First Editor in children’s books and art books, he founded L’Ampoule, his own publishing company with Olivier Douzou in 2002. In 2003, he created another company, Deux Editeurs, where he developed and completed until 2011 many books and collections for children, comics and art. He also worked on several transmedia projects with Le Monde, Télérama and other publishers. At the same time, he took the lead of a professional school for publishers and became author, with Christel Gonnard, of TV series such as “Milly Miss Question” (France 5), “Les blagues de Toto” (M6) or “Plankton Invasion” (CANAL+). In 2011, he started working for the France Télévisions group to develop the publishing activity of its subsidiary: France Télévisions Distribution. In January 2013, he joined the Children and Youth Programmes Department of France Télévisions as Research and Development Animation Manager.

Pablo Jordi is a Senior Producer of animation TV series and Founder of Pikkukala, with studios in Helsinki and Barcelona. Familiar with iconic properties like “Moomins” and “Angry Birds”, he has also developed and produced original animation series like “Saari”, “Fungi”, “Emma&Guiu”, short films and commercials. Producer of the dedicated VoD app “SaariTV”, and several mobile games. Pablo is a European animation enthusiast. Telidja Klaï studied Clinical Psychology at the Free University of Brussels. She specialized in Developmental Psychology and obtained a PhD in Clinical and Developmental Psychology. Telidja is responsible for the Programme Acquisitions and Co- productions of animation for Ketnet. She is in charge of the selection, sales, adaptation and programming of international children’s programmes and she follows up on animation co- productions with Flemish animation studios and producers. The main thrust of her activities is the development of children and Ketnet’s vision and values.

Lisette Looman Studio 100 Media {Germany}

Graduated in 2000 in the field of pedagogics and education, Lisette Looman started out working in advertising before becoming active in the animation industry. In 2003 she joined Telescreen and worked on “Miffy”. When the company was acquired by m4e, she then produced “Tip the Mouse”, “Wissper” and “Mia and me”. m4e has currently been integrated in Studio 100 Media, an international production and distribution company within the children’s and family entertainment sector. It develops and acquires new content, engages in co-production and co-financing and is responsible for the distribution of its own and third- party rights. Lisette Looman works as a content and production Manager for the German office and her series work expands from early development until postproduction. Shamik Majumdar is Creative Director, Original Series Animation, Disney Channels EMEA. This role has a focus on the development of original animated content & creative supervision of series in production. Projects include “Chip’n’Dale”, “101 Dalmatian Street”, #DisneyXDFC Shorts, “Counterfeit Cat” and “Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja”. Prior to the Walt Disney Company, Shamik worked across brand and content for Turner Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) and Channel [v] STAR TV (Mumbai). His work has been awarded for direction, design, writing, editing and animation. This includes a Best of Show at BDA New York and the International Audi Design Award (Dieter Rams, Kenji Ekuan Ross Lovegrove Jury) for an interdisciplinary project.

Dominic is the Creative Director and co-Founder of Plug- In Media, a digital production company based in the UK. Be it creating digital strategies and interactive experiences for third party brands or conceiving and developing Plug-In’s original IP, Dominic has been responsible for Plug-In’s creative output since the company began. Over the 17 years he has been creating content for children, Dom has both conceived of and directed: games, digital toys, 2D and 3D linear animation, interactive stories, creativity tools, educational apps, VR experiences, adult comedy, short form animation and music albums, working with broadcasters and production companies across the world. Under Dom’s direction, Plug-In Media’s projects have collected many awards, including 4 BAFTAs and 2 Prix Jeunesse Awards. Virginie Sergent VMS consulting projects {United Kingdom}

Virginie was EMEA Consumer products Director for Ubisoft and has provided consulting services to independent studios. She contributed to the transformation of Ubisoft from a video- game publisher to a brand-licensing pioneer with products ranging from internal development of figurines to apparel, toys and games, accessories, publishing and stationery. Now she runs VMS, an Entertainment brand licensing consultancy. Her particular skill is to bring together the experience she has, and the knowledge she’s accrued, to work out what the company needs to develop and manage their brand in order to deliver sustainable profits. This ranges from delivering commercial and brand licensing strategies, to sourcing new business partners, licensees and retailers, to negotiating terms, managing contracts and developing licensed products to get their name out there.

Marc Van Den Bosch-Mprah joined Super RTL in April 2019 as Senior Manager – Content Acquisitions & Co-Production.
