[email protected] The Dismissal of the Whitlam Government: One Politician's Comments Abstract The twentieth anniversary of the dismissal of the Whitlam Government on 11 November 1975 saw a great outpouring of the reminiscences of hack journalists from the bourgeois press, all convinced that they and they alone knew what had really happened. Most such revelations concentrated upon the personalities of the three principal protagonists Kerr, Fraser and Whitlam instead of the forces that these three individuals represented.
