Welcome to Curiocity Brisbane 2021, celebrating 17 days of science, art & tech. We are proud to present an expanded program featuring 30 world and national premiere works among more than 60 Curiocities that can be explored across four precincts. We also feature unique installations from Queensland school students, selected from a state-wide expression of interest that attracted some truly inspiring ideas. We’ve brought six of these ideas to life, with the help of leading creators and makers whose work will fuel the curious spark we believe exists within us all. Curiocity Brisbane is delighted to partner with in its delivery of World Science Festival Brisbane and with the | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) to present The Motorcycle Up Late program. We thank Tourism and Events Queensland and the Brisbane Economic Development Agency for supporting Curiocity Brisbane, along with major partner News Corp and media partner Nine Queensland. Explore the biggest questions in science at World Science Festival Brisbane World Science Festival Brisbane

Queensland Museum is once again proud to deliver World Science Festival Brisbane and be part of Curiocity Brisbane. For the first time we have partnered together to deliver the Queensland Schools Challenge, giving six schools the opportunity to create their own Curiocity installations that demonstrate the intersection of science, technology, engineering, art and maths (STEAM). This nexus of science and art is at the heart of World Science Festival Brisbane, delivering a program of thought-provoking conversations, inspiring experiences and engaging workshops across five days from 24–28 March. We can’t wait to explore the work of artist Craig Walsh and his prehistoric creatures. Working alongside Queensland Museum’s award-winning palaeontology staff, Craig has created projections of prehistoric creatures known to have inhabited the (Maiwar) millions of years ago. This special collaboration between World Science Festival Brisbane and Curiocity Brisbane can be viewed from the . And in 2021, our program will offer a range of events and digital experiences that celebrate human curiosity.
