Race Car Spec's 2020 WOLVERHAMPTON SCC – RACE CAR SPEC’S 2020 CLASS 7 – FERRARI GT Eligible models Any 1/32 scale model of a Ferrari Sports, GT, Le Mans car. Examples of ‘Ready- to- Run’ slot cars - Black Arrow: Ferrari 458 GT3. Racer Sideways: Ferrari 512 BB/LM, Ferrari 512S, Ferrari 330 P4. Policar: Ferrari F40, Ferrari 330 P4, Ferrari 412 P. Body Shell Plastic or resin molded (no Lexan Vac forms). White kits must be fully painted. Rear Wing (if fitted) must be securely in place at the start of a race. Interior Driver and Interior details must be fitted (original items or lightweight Lexan type to suit). Chassis Plastic only, injection molded or 3-D printed. Must match body shell (not modified to fit). Traction magnets must be removed. Motor mount Any plastic, in- line, side-winder or angle-winder motor mount (no metal mounts). Motor Any Mabuchi-type 12v Short or Long Can motor (no rpm limit). Gearing Any in-line, side-winder or angle-winder type crown/spur and pinion set-up. Free choice of ratio (11t/28t typical). Front wheels & tyres Hubs: alloy or plastic, size to suit model (15.8x8 mm typical) Tyres: Zero Grip rubber allowed. See set-up notes below. Inserts: Optional Rear wheels & tyres Hubs: alloy (single or double shoulder), size to suit model (15.8x10mm typical) Tyres: any black rubber (no ‘F’ compound, silicone, foam or Formula 1 type). See set-up notes below. Inserts: Optional Free Choice items Axles, bearings, suspension, axle stoppers, slot guide, lead wire, braid material, fixing screws (for body and motor mount). Set-up Notes Chassis: a small amount of plastic can be removed to allow for body “float”. Body fixing screws: may be loose but must be covered to prevent loss. Front and rear tyres: may be glued, trued and conditioned i.e. front tyres may be glazed with nail varnish or similar, rear tyres may be softened using ‘3-in-1 Oil’ or similar – but must be dry before being placed on the track. Ballast may be added to the chassis but must be securely fixed. Model Dimensions Max. weight: 105 grams Max. width: Wheel-arch width plus 2,0mm max. over tyre sidewalls Min. ground clearance: 1,2mm .

The racing bug bit James Dean hard, and it ultimately cost him his life at a far too young age. Paul Newman was into cars from the beginning of his amazing career. Starring in the 1969 film “Winning” helped launch an impressive racing career for Newman as a champion sports car driver and CART/Champ Car team owner. A handsome James Garner used to cruise his Mercury around So Cal burger joints; he went on to star in John Frankeheimer’s Grand Prix, and also became an accomplished off-road racer...     Foreword by JACKY ICKX Porsche Although the first Porsche sports car, the 356, did not appear until after the Second World War, the family involvement in the motor industry dates back to 1898. Ferdinand Porsche's contribution to the development of the Austrian and German industries was considerable, and included important design work on road and sports cars as well as commercial vehicles and highly specialised military engines. Founded in 1931, the Porsche independent design company was responsible for the development of the vastly successful Volkswagen car, and it is a tribute to the man's genius that the car is still in limited production today.
