A Message from the 2015 Art Show and Crossroads Premiere Superintendent… Albion Central celebrated the graduation of 131 students on Fri., June 26, 2015. Though this class is small in number, like the little engine that climbed the hill, “The Little Class that Could” committed themselves to great successes on their path to becoming the newest Purple Eagle Alumni! Despite their size, during their high school years, this class and their schoolmates earned 11 first-place finishes in marching band competitions (including three undefeated seasons); won four first-place finishes in jazz ensemble competitions (including three “Superior” ratings); accumulated more than fifty top NYSSMA, All-County, Area All-State, and Conference All- State recognitions; and added outstanding singing and acting ensemble designations, three outstanding dance ensemble nods, two outstanding musical recognitions, and three Outstanding Student Pit Orchestra awards for their school musical productions from the Rochester Broadway Theater League’s Stars of Tomorrow Program. The list of their accomplishments (or attendance at any one of their performances) makes it easy to understand why ACS was recognized as a “Best Community for Music Education” during each year of their high school years.
