Cleaning Tips

 Replace all burned out light bulbs, it’s less expensive than the cleaning crew doing it!

 Be sure you have changed the bag on the vacuum

 Clean drip pans with steel wool - pans wrapped in foil will not pass. (Sometimes it is easier/cheaper to buy new ones if they are not cleanable)

 Clean windows with window cleaner, inside and out if possible. Newspaper works best to wipe. A works great on cleaning the blinds.

 Wood cleaner such as “Murphy Oil Soap” cleans the cabinet fronts in the bathroom and kitchen and wood floors (if applicable). Be sure to remove grease buildup from cabinets around stove!

 To clean tubs, showers, sinks, & toilets, use a scrub and some Soft Scrub cleanser. For hard water stains, use Lime Away. Mildew stains will come clean in grout and corners! For hard water stains around faucet handles, an old tooth brush works well to get in those hard to reach areas!

 Pull all furniture away from walls and vacuum and wipe down all baseboards. We will on the cleaning check! You’ll be amazed at what falls behind a dresser and bed during a semester!

 With self-clean , don’t “Force” any lever. Call if you have questions. They can break easy. Also, don’t put tinfoil in bottom of oven - it can short out the oven!

 Don’t remove or switch furniture/vacuum from apartment. All items are inventoried and are accounted for at check-out and make sure your vacuum is there!

 To shine chrome, use windex and a clean, dry rag.

 IMPORTANT--all screens were in place on windows when you moved in - be sure they are still there - and undamaged. You will be charged for any missing or damaged screen
