This session will provide you with an overview of three important countries within this region: Azerbaijan, the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan. The following will be covered for each country: • Geopolitical background, market size, education system • Number of students studying abroad including future potential and trends - course and destination preferences • Average length a student spends abroad • Student expectations ►Speakers Gulnar Kaskenova, Director, Langberry Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Gulnar Kaskenova holds the position of Director at Langberry Language School in Azerbaijan, Baku. Gulnar graduated with a bachelor degree in English studies in Kazakhstan. Gulnar started her career at Langberry in 2011 in Astana and has been working with agents as well as with educators. In 2016 Gulnar was appointed Branch Director in Baku, Azerbaijan. She is responsible for the operational routine of the branch as well as recruiting in Azerbaijan. Olga Kurinina, Academic Counsellor, Schwarzthal Kapital - Central Asia, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic Olga Kurinina holds the position of Academic Counsellor at Schwarzthal Kapital dealing with enquiries from students and parents regarding academic study abroad programmes, helping them to fi nd the most suitable programme for their future education and assist them with all the issues they can meet during their journey into a foreign country. Olga has been involved in the international recruitment business since 2009. Previously she has been working for a Kazakhstani agency and is based since 2012 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. From 2015 she was fully responsible for the organisation of the annual joined fairs of Schwarzthal Kapital and Linden Tours in the Kyrgyz Republic. Room: Ballroom 2 16:30 - 17:30 Vladimir Dolgiy, Director, World of Education Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Vladimir Dolgiy is owner and director of World of Education Uzbekistan with their main offi ce in Tashkent. Vladimir studied Software Engineering at AUCA (American University of Central Asia), Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. He attended more than 10 international fairs and workshops and is an ITAC and British Council certifi ed agent. Vladimir Dolgiy has gained 5 years experience working for multinational companies and decided to create his own company on the 10th of February 2010. Recently World of Education celebrated 7 years. During these 7 years, World of Education has grown from a small company to a professional team with 10 employees and 20+ teachers. ►Moderator Sergey Krasnyanskiy, Director CIS, ICEF, Russia Sergey studied in Russia, Ukraine and Germany and achieved two Master of Science degrees in Economics, Marketing and Controlling, one from Simferopol State University and the other from The University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, St. Augustin. Sergey started his career at ICEF in 2000 and has been working in a variety of positions with agents as well as with educators and service providers from all over the world while focusing on the CIS market. The popularity of the Kazakhstani market is confi rmed by the number of educational fairs dedicated to education abroad, which are held in Kazakhstan every year. In the course of the seminar the members of KAEA (Kazakhstan Association of Education Agencies) will explain the characteristics and quirks, modern day tendencies and the prospects for development of the Kazakhstani market.
