The Offices of the Provost and of Well-Being can help all faculty navigate life’s opportunities and challenges, providing tailored assistance and connections for you to be your best at work and at home. From the Faculty Family Leave Policy and childcare and senior care benefits to the Faculty Wellness Program, our policies and resources support faculty excellence, career satisfaction, and well-being.

Find help with homework and light /selecting-childcare/care.com housekeeping, process payments electronically, and more. -membership.html Early Childhood Learn about Evanston and Chicago centers that offer priority northwestern.edu/hr/work-life Education and enrollment and discounts for Northwestern faculty. /childcare/index.html Childcare Centers Backup Care When regular childcare falls through, eligible employees may northwestern.edu/hr/benefits Reimbursement access Northwestern’s subsidized backup childcare program, /work-life/finding-childcare offered through Care.com, to find vetted in-home or center-based /backup-care backup care providers. Subsidized rates, with a daily minimum of 4 hours and maximum of 10 hours, are available for up to 10 days during the 2020–21 academic year. In-home care is offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at the subsidized rate of $6 per hour. Center-based care is available during business hours at the subsidized rate of $10 per day.

Tuition Benefits Significant financial assistance is available for faculty to take northwestern.edu/hr/benefits university-level courses at Northwestern or other accredited /educational-assistance/index.html institutions. In addition, tuition benefits are available to dependent children, spouses, and civil union partners for undergraduate university courses at Northwestern and other FAFSA-listed institutions. Senior and Adult Access to expert senior-care advisers is provided for faculty northwestern.edu/hr/benefits/work Care Program who have adult or senior caregiving responsibilities.
