NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the 1) C497 Hapton Road from its junction with the B1113 The Turnpike for a distance of 1500 metres eastwards; and 2) C497 The Street from its junction with the C497 Low Tharston for a distance of 650 metres south eastwards in the PARISHES OF ASHWELLTHORPE AND FUNDENHALL AND THARSTON AND HAPTON because of Norfolk County Council resurfacing of carriageway works. The roads will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 07:30 and 19:00 hours from 8th March 2021 to 11th March 2021 only when traffic signs indicating the closure are in place for the duration of the works, expected to be 4 days within the period. Alternative route is via: B1113 The Turnpike, B1113 Norwich Road, B1113 The Street,B1113 Norwich Road, B1113 Main Road,B1113 Mulbarton Road, A140 Ipswich Road, Ipswich Road, C497 Bungay Road,C497 Low Tharston (Newton Flotman, Bracon Ash, Caistor St. Edmund and Bixley, Swainsthorpe, Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall, Saxlingham Nethergate, Mulbarton, Tharston and Hapton, Stoke Holy Cross, Tasburgh, Long Stratton, Swardeston, Keswick and Intwood, Wreningham). (If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order). Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
