• The Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County, Arkansas, was created in 1994 as a non-stock, not-for-profit corporation and became operational on January 1, 1995. The Alliance was formed to unify community and economic development efforts in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County. Jefferson County Alliance

1. Full business concierge service.
2. Land location and acquisition.
3. Assistance with zoning issues, fire safety and overall permitting.
4. Liaison with multiple state and local organizations for smooth transitions.
5. Offering and implementing monetary incentive packages to qualifying industries. Jefferson County Information Jefferson County Economic Incentive Tax: The local fund is fueled by a 3/8-cent sales tax and incentivizes companies looking to create jobs and make capital investments to locate or expand in the county. It is structured as a performance agreement with the number of full-time primary jobs created or retained, average wage, capital investment, and/or other specific performance as payback.
