Communiqué De Presse Communiqué De Presse 29 OCTOBRE 2018 Strong Sixth in Mexico Renault Sport Formula One Team’s Nico Hülkenberg took his fifth sixplaced finish of the season in a strategic Gran Premio de México, helping the team to a 30point advantage over its nearest championship rival leaving the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Carlos Sainz had been ahead of Nico on the road after a fantastic start, however on lap 29 his car suffered from an electrical shutdown and he retired from the race. Nico started from P7 on scrubbed Pirelli Hypersoft (pink) tyres, pitting on lap 12 for a new set of Supersoft (red) tyres. Carlos started from P8 on scrubbed Hypersoft tyres, pitting on lap 11 for a new set of Supersoft tyres. He retired from the race on lap 29 after his car suffered from an electrical shutdown. Nico Hülkenberg, #27, R.S.1802: Started P7, finished P6. “We’ve had two very good weekends in a row with a lot of points. From my side, it was a very calm and solid race, albeit a little lonely to get ourselves through on a onestop strategy. We had to manage the car and the tyres through the race and the whole team did a good job all weekend. It was a shame to lose Carlos, otherwise we could have had sixth and seventh again and another strong haul of points for the team. Nevertheless, we’ve extended our lead in both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship, so that’s very positive.” Carlos Sainz, #55, R.S.1803: Started P8, DNF. “Today was a big shame. We were leading the midfield comfortably and in contention for some good points and then, without warning, the car shut down. It’s really frustrating after making such a good start on lap one, but that’s racing. We’ve not had too many reliability issues this season, but when I have, it’s been when I’ve been leading the midfield, so that’s a bit of bad luck and coincidental for it to happen again today. We’ll investigate the issue and move on. We’ll keep fighting, aim to score points at the last two rounds and look to secure fourth in the Constructors’ Championship. We deserved more, but at least Nico stayed in the points, so it’s not a bad result for the team. Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for his fifth title.” Cyril Abiteboul, Team Principal: “Today saw a strong result for us in the championship battle with Nico driving an intelligent race to sixth position. We also saw a Renaultpowered car on the top step of the podium after a fine performance from Red Bull. All weekend we were able to show good pace in Mexico and that echoed our performance in Austin, this illustrates that our team continues to push hard right till the end. It was a very frustrating retirement for Carlos and everyone in the team. He was doing a fabulous job and would have also scored a good haul of points. Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton on his fifth World Championship title. He and Mercedes set the bar very high and that must be an inspiration for the future. There are two races left in 2018 and we are aiming for a strong finish to our season.” Pour Plus D'informations: Christophe DEVILLE Manager Campagne Communication SportAuto +33 (0)1 76 84 64 83 [email protected] GROUPE RENAULT PRESS OFFICE Tel.: +33 (0)1 76 84 63 36 [email protected] Communiqué De Presse 29 OCTOBRE 2018 Strong Sixth in Mexico Renault Sport Formula One Team’s Nico Hülkenberg took his fifth sixplaced finish of the season in a strategic Gran Premio de México, helping the team to a 30point advantage over its nearest championship rival leaving the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. • Scx® Presents the Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes Mp4-22
Have fun with the car in which Hamilton made his début and stunned the world SCX® PRESENTS THE VODAFONE MCLAREN MERCEDES MP4-22 Feel the excitement of taking the controls of the ‘silver arrow’ which dominated much of the 2007 World Championship SCX ® the digital system gives you the chance to enjoy the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-22, the car that carried Lewis Hamilton, in his rookie year in the Formula 1 World Championship, to second place – and came agonisingly close to winning. The silver arrows of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team owed their nickname to the silver colour scheme of the cars, which together with the sponsor’s red gives them highly attractive looks. Along with the always aggressive lines of any Formula 1 car, this SCX ® the digital system model features some details which mark it out from the rest. The double front spoiler bearing the logo of the main sponsor is just one example of this. Nor can you miss the air intakes in the mid-section of the car, the wing mirrors or the air vents in the centre. This gem of speed has aerodynamic features throughout its bodywork, and the tyres of course carry the Bridgestone logo. Great care has gone into the back of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-22. The rear spoiler with its two panels naturally features the sponsors' logos, and the two impressive exhaust pipes had to be there. The brake light is also featured, though it does not actually work, but it makes the McLaren look even more spectacular. The number 2 printed on the front and the helmet together with the yellow camera immediately identify the British driver Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel of a SCX ® the digital system model which, as always, is beautifully detailed right down to the steering wheel or the seatbelt.

  • 2020 Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix, Sunday Renault DP World F1 Team
2020 Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix, Sunday Renault DP World F1 Team scored a solitary point from the Turkish Grand Prix after a frustrating afternoon in difficult conditions at Istanbul Park with Daniel Ricciardo finishing tenth and Esteban Ocon eleventh. Things had looked good off the start with both drivers – on the preferred, right side of the grid – rocketing off the line to contest the top four positions at Turn 1. However, that would prove to be the downfall when Daniel was unfortunate to clip Esteban, which forced the Frenchman to spin. Daniel had been nudged by Lewis Hamilton on the inside of Turn 1, which led to his minor contact with Esteban who recovered to fourteenth. Esteban was hit again by Valtteri Bottas at Turn 9, which caused a left-rear puncture and he had to pit for new Wets on lap one. Daniel held onto seventh until the first pit-stop, with both drivers pitting for new Intermediates on lap 10. Esteban began his recovery from there to edge his way back into points contention. Daniel stopped again for Intermediates on lap 32, but he couldn’t get them into the optimum operating window and slipped back to ninth, before conceding that position late on. Despite an impressive 48-lap effort on Intermediates, Esteban followed Daniel home in eleventh. The team is fifth in the Constructors’ Championship on 136 points. Daniel Ricciardo, started P5, finished P10: “We made a great start today, but I was squashed in between Lewis [Hamilton] and Esteban into Turn 1, so I had nowhere to go and I clipped my team-mate which is the last thing you want to do.
