ORDERED, That Messieu.rs Paterson and Stegman be a Committee to examine and report what shall be found neces sary to be done for the repair and safety of the Humber Bridge at Cooper's Mills, and to contract for and see the same done in such manner as they may find necessary and expedient. In the Matter of a Petition for a Road from the Eighth Concession of the Township of Whitby, it was ORDERED, That Mr. John Farquharson, the Surveyor of Highways, having a doubt as to one of the Subscribers to the Petition being a freeholder, the application is allowed to lay over for evidence. The opinion of Eessieurs Baldwin, Sullivan and Draper respecting the Police Rate Assessment under the Act of the last Provincial Parliament having been read, ORDERED, That the consideration of the question be postponed until Tuesday next, the 14th instant, at 12 O'Clock at the Clerk of the Peace's Office, at which time and place the Counsel are requested to attend.
