Tarde through the ring needs to be seen, as cows continue to gross huge amounts on their legs, with everything weighed and paid for from tongue to tail. Trade was exactly the same as last week, with the steakers and plainer end looking very well sold in comparison to some, with the very best black and whites selling one after another in the early 120’s. That’s said, the average’s are most important, and its pounds in pockets which count for most. In the lump, week after week, all cow sold from Jersey types at £252 to strong Holstein’s well over £1100, are averaging in excess of £700. Just make not when someone is on the farm gate, or the statement comes back with “NO” deductions, turn over and see what charge for transport etc …is. Transport can easily be arranged to bring your stock to market, all you need do is call. Please don’t forget to inform ourselves if your cattle are tested, with a real premium for feeding types, and a bag full of buyers to match. At Beeston we cater for all models, shapes and sizes plus there wasn’t hardly a foreign tagged animal under £1 per kilo. Please don’t hesitate to call Simon Lamb on 07815 188125.
