Our "18th & 19th Century Powder Horns" replicate examples produced from before the French & Indian War and up through the Fur Trade Era. Each has features inspired by actual period examples, including the base plugs, finials, and stoppers which are all turned from figured hardwood. Also appropri- ate to the period, the horns have been given an antique satin finish. The Traditional Engraved horn has slightly domed base plug which includes a threaded finial for easy filling and a round turned stopper. The Engrailed horn has an scalloped edge at the base of the carved neck and spout, flat base plug secured with brass tacks. Also has incised lines around the base and neck. They’re just right for weekend hunts as they are readily carried in your hunting or possibles bag.
