BEDROCK-NEWS THE OFFICICIAL QUARTERLY PUBLICATION OF THE BEDROCK PROSPECTORS CLUB January, February, March 2016 MONTHLY MEETING PLACE PUYALLUP MASONIC HALL 1005 West Pioneer Ave. HELD ON THE THIRD MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

We completed the election of new club officers and finished off the year with our annual Christmas Party. Take a look at the list of new club officers at the end of the newsletter. Don’t be afraid to contact any of them with any issues or events that you’d like to see next year. We do have a pretty full calendar and it is attached as well. Enjoy the news letter! We even had Santa stop by this year! He posed for pictures with all the big and little kids. Lots of The 2015 Christmas Party: pictures and fun! We had the largest turnout ever for this year’s party. We had 125 attendees this year and more food than anyone has a right to sample. All of the tables were filled and there were very few empty seats. The crew that worked in the kitchen did just super. (We ran out of mashed potatoes, but we’ll have more next year!)

The table decorations were superb and we had lots of help by folks to get it all setup in time for the party. We even had some stay over after the party to help with the cleanup

If club members would like to receive the Newsletter by email (saves us postage) let Colleen Zimmerman know by email or on Face Book. We are doing an email trial run with this newsletter, if you reply (please do) we’ll know that we have the right email and you can let us know if you’d like to get the newsletter via email. Until we hear differently, we will assume that everyone wants a hardcopy either mailed or picked up at the meeting.

Well it’s time to start planning for a great 2016 Prospecting Season. We have so much planned that our Calendar takes up most of the Newsletter. If it is highlighted or shows a bunch of ?????, we don’t know the exact date yet – but wanted to leave it on the calendar for planning. Updates for planned rock hunting and any metal detecting trips will be added to this calendar. Once we have some plans and dates set, we’ll get them listed here, on the web site, and on Face book. If you have an idea on a possible outing, or even a day trip somewhere and would be willing to help getting a group of our members together. Let us know, we will post it right here. We will be happy to help promote any new ideas from members wanting to do something in this manner. Thanks.
