"Victory Is Our Business" was the motto at Packard Electric during the World War il years, when the Division produced over 50 per cent of the ignition cable and wiring assemblies for military vehicles.

By 1946, Packard Elec*ric had expanded to over- 550,000 square feet of floor space. with over 4,300 employes. As seen above, private homes oc- cupied much of the present parking lot space near today's Administration Building on Dana Street.

The Administration Building, on the corner of Dana and Vine, covers 124,000 square feet: it connects to the Dana St. Plants by an underground passage.

In the summer of 1964, operations began in the new Research.Engineering ha · Center, which houses all of Packard Electric's Engineering departments and their related laboratory facilities. Also located in the ultra-modern building are Quality Control, the Estimating Section of the Accounting Department and the Sales Deparfmed, which works closely with research
