David Marcotte Radio Broadcast Team Rob Brown Play-by-Play Announcer Brown enters his seventh season as the play-by-play announcer for Roncalli football, after spending two seasons assisting with the halftime and post game shows. Brown has been the voice of the Roncalli boys’ and girls’ basketball teams for the last 10 seasons. In addition, he serves as Roncalli’s sports information director. He spent ten seasons working in professional basketball. After seven seasons on the air calling games for the CBA’s Fort Wayne Fury (with the last five as the play-by-play announcer), Brown spent three seasons working in the media relations department of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. He earned a B.A. in English in 1992 from Miami University, where he got his start in sports radio, then earned a M.S. in television-radio-film from Syracuse University the following year. Brown, a born and raised south sider, owns a financial services business in Greenwood. He is married to Rachel, who works in Roncalli’s Office of Institutional Advancement. Their son, Sam, is a Roncalli graduate (R’17) and attends Purdue University and their daughter, Lillian, is a sophomore at Roncalli. Dan Bauer Color Analyst Bauer begins his 13th season as the color analyst for Roncalli football. He is a 1985 Roncalli graduate and was a two-time all-state selection during his high school career. Playing both offensive and defensive line, he helped lead the Rebels to the program’s first appearance in a state title game (1983). Bauer played collegiately at Indiana University for coach Bill Mallory. While at Indiana,
