  • Telemark: Ny Reisehverdag Fra Grenland
    Oppdatert etter fastsettelse av handlingsprogrammet juli 2018. Jernbanesektorens handlingsprogram: Telemark: Ny reisehverdag fra Grenland Grenlandsregionen med sine over 100.000 innbyggere står foran en helt ny reisehverdag når den nye banen fra Larvik til Porsgrunn åpner til høsten. Sammen med videre dobbeltsporutbygging på Vestfoldbanen de kommende årene vil det bli enda raskere å ta toget fra de befolkningsrike områdene i Telemark. Det er en lenge etterlengtet baneåpning som skal finne sted i september i år. Den utdaterte, svingete og lange omveien langs Farrisvannet kan endelig tas ut av bruk og erstattes av en moderne dobbeltsporet jernbane for hastigheter på 200 km/t. Reisetiden mellom Grenland, Vestfoldbyene og Oslo-området kortes ned med 20 minutter, og det blir togavganger mellom Skien og Larvik hver time. I handlingsprogrammet for jernbanesektoren som Jernbanedirektoratet nå legger fram legges det opp til videre utbygging av Vestfoldbanen, slik at reisetider og kapasitet blir ytterligere forbedret. Disse forbedringene vil også ha stor betydning for passasjerer til og fra Grenlandsregionen. Samarbeid Jernbanedirektoratet legger opp til et tett samarbeid med fylker kommuner, og vil fortsette å delta i arbeidet med byutredning for Grenland. Flere tog Når den 22 kilometer lange banestrekningen Farriseidet–Porsgrunn åpner vil det samtidig bli fast timesintervall til og fra Grenland. Når de nye parsellene Drammen–Kobbervikdalen og Nykirke– Tønsberg ferdigstilles i henholdsvis 2025 og 2024 vil reisetiden gå ned ytterliggere 10-15 minutter. Slik blir Nedre Telemark knyttet stadig tettere sammen med Vestfoldbyene, Drammensregionen og Oslo-området, til et felles bo- og arbeidsmarked. I Skien skal det bygges et nytt hensettingsanlegg for InterCity-togene, som vil gjøre det mulig å kjøre flere avganger med doble togsett og dermed øke ombordkapasiteten.

    Religion Education in Norway: Tension or Harmony between Human Rights and Christian Cultural Heritage? BENGT-OVE ANDREASSEN University of Tromsø Abstract Both research and public and scholarly debate on religious education (RE) in Norway have mostly revolved around the subject in primary and secondary school called Christianity, Religion and Ethics (KRL) (later renamed Religion, Philosophies of Life and Ethics, RLE), not least due to the criticisms raised by the UN’s Human Rights Com- mittee in 2004 and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in 2007 of the Norwegian model for RE in primary and secondary schools. The RE subject in upper secondary school, however, is hardly ever mentioned. The same applies to teacher education. This article therefore aims at providing some insight into how RE has developed in the Norwegian educational system overall, ranging from primary and secondary to upper secondary and including the different forms of teacher education. Keywords: religious education, teacher education, educational system, human rights, Norway Historical Background The development of religious education (RE) in Norway can be described in three main perspectives which link with historical periods: firstly, the Chris- tian education policy in the period from 1736 (when confirmation was made obligatory for all people) to 1860; secondly, the gradual secularisation of the school from 1860, as new subjects supplemented and challenged Christian- ity as the main curricular focus in schools, to 1969, when a new Education Act stated that RE should no longer should be confessionally rooted in Christianity.     1. SCHOOL EDUCATION IN NORWAY – 13 Chapter 1 School education in Norway While Norway’s results in the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) are at or above the OECD average depending on the subject, these outcomes are not considered satisfactory given Norway’s high levels of spending on education. There are also indications that the quality of education provided varies between municipalities with otherwise similar characteristics. The first publication of PISA results in 2000 was described by stakeholders in Norway as a “PISA shock”, which has helped focus attention on the monitoring of quality in education. Over the past ten years, there has been a strong focus on building up national tools and procedures to monitor quality at different levels of the system with a view to improve practices and raise performance. This national agenda is coupled with efforts to build up capacity at all levels and support networking among schools and school owners to strengthen collective learning. This approach reflects Norway’s well-established tradition of local autonomy, with individual schools being “owned” by municipalities and counties and accountable to them rather than more distant national bodies.   • The Jews – Teachers of the Nazis?
    Jan-Erik Ebbestad Hansen (Oslo) über: The Jews – Teachers of the Nazis? Anti-Semitism in Norwegian Anthroposophy Abstract This article is an investigation, from the perspective of the history of ideas, of the view that central Norwegian anthroposophists took of Jews and Judaism from the interwar period to the period shortly after the Second World War. A central element of the investigation is the demonstration that Norwegian anthroposophists had an anti- Semitic understanding of Judaism and that they considered Judaism as the negative counterpart to Germanentum and Deutschtum. An introductory contextualizing section of this paper gives an account of Rudolf Steiner’s definition of Judaism and of the decisive influence he had on the Norwegian anthroposophists. Steiner’s view of Jews is defined as assimilationist anti-Semitism. Secondly, there will be a description of the principal characteristics of the Norwegian Germanentum and anti-Semitism in this period.1 Zusammenfassung Dieser Artikel untersucht aus ideengeschichtlicher Perspektive die Sichtweise, die norwegische Anthroposophen in der Zeit zwischen den Weltkriegen bis kurz nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg auf Juden und das Judentum hatten. Ein zentraler Punkt dieser Untersuchung ist zu zeigen, dass norwegische Anthroposophen eine antisemitische Auffassung vom Judentum hatten und Judentum als negatives Gegenstück zum Germanentum oder Deutschtum verstanden. Im einführenden Abschnitt zur Kontextualisierung wird neben Rudolf Steiners Definition von Judentum der große Einfluss geschildert, den er auf die norwegischen Anthroposophen hatte. Steiners Sicht auf Juden wird als assimilationistischer Antisemitismus definiert. Zweitens werden die grundlegenden Züge des norwegischen Germanentums und Antisemitismus dieser Zeit beschrieben.
