Mr. Mohamed Kamal El Din Barakat Chairman During the fiscal year 2004/2005, the Egyptian government undertook significant structural reforms to the financial and monetary policies that led to an increase in the GDP (gross domestic product) growth rate to 5.1% compared to 4.2% in the previous year as well as a reduction of the inflation rate to 4.7%. Furthermore, the foreign exchange markets witnessed stability and the monetary reserves of foreign currencies increased to more than $20 Billion. This improvement was reflected upon all market sectors including banking. Consequently, it impacted Banque Misr's financial achievements for this year where total assets had grown by 17.3% to reach L.E 106.8 billion. As for the deposits, they grew by 16.3% to reach L.E 93.2 Billion and the shareholders' equity increased by 2.6% to reach L.E 3.5 Billion. Concerning loans, the total loans portfolio grew by 3.8% to reach L.E 37.8 billion. Furthermore, the bank continued its support for small and micro finance projects by offering credit facilities engaging higher employment rates for economy support. The financial investments increased by 26% to reach L.E. 39.1 Billion. In this context, the Bank's newly introduced investment fund with daily current revenue (day by day account) was highly accepted by the customers. This was reflected by the increase of its net value from L.E. 200 Million on its issuance date during August 2004 to reach more than L.E. 2 Billion by the end of July 2005, the total profits before provisions and taxes increased by 74.3% to reach L.E. 2694 Million. As for the net profit, it reached L.E. 140 Million at a growth rate of 6% versus the previous year. 4 Regarding the financial investments, the bank's capital revenues reached L.E 668 million. These revenues were directed to cover the provisions for non performing loans and finance the bank's development plans. Meanwhile, the bank continues to adopt the policy of participating in the establishment of new companies and increase its contributions in current projects, which emphasizes the bank's role in supporting different economic activities. Aiming towards the success of its comprehensive restructuring program for its different activities and branches, the bank's management supervised various reform programs in different fields in order to present distinguished and more up to date highly developed services to the customers. In other words, new packages of banking programs were applied including technological supports enabling the customer to use one number to deal with all branches and get rapid service. Furthermore, the bank continued its automated network expansion through automated teller machines (ATM's), points of sales (POS) catering to diversified service offering, in addition to the electronic branches operating 24/7. Moreover, the bank continued to issue a variety of payment cards meeting international standards including smart cards and updated security programs. It is worth mentioning that all my associates contributed positively with remarkable sincere efforts and dedication in reaching success reflecting their deep commitment to one unified aim which is developing their own institution. (+ 74 s. příloha) Anotace Křesťanství se z Jeruzaléma šířilo několika směry. Jedno z jeho nejvlivnějších center vzniklo v Římě, jenž se stal také sídlem papežů a zůstal jím i po přesídlení císaře do tehdy řecké Konstantinopole. Kromě Říma, spjatého s apoštolem Petrem však existovaly i další velké křesťanské obce, založené ostatními apoštoly, ležící na východ od římské říše, které se stejně jako ta římská nazývaly církví. A tak i dnes kromě největší latinské (římské) církve existují desítky východních, právem se chlubících vlastní apoštolskou tradicí. V průběhu dějin došlo několikrát k narušení jejich komunikace s Římem, ale i mezi sebou navzájem. V dnešní době, kdy z různých důvodů dochází k velkým migračním vlnám, se některá církevní společenství, doposud považována striktně za východní, dostávají do diaspory s latinskou církví, čímž vzniká nejen velká pravděpodobnost růstu počtu smíšených intereklesiálních manželství, ale zároveň také zvýšené množství manželských kauz, které bude muset následně řešit církevní soud. Aby jeho rozhodnutí bylo spravedlivé, je potřebné znát jak historii těchto východních církví, mezi nimiž je i dvacet dva sjednocených s Římem (tedy východní katolické církve), tak i především jejich teologická specifika, spiritualitu a partikulární právo.

    REPORT WORLD New Neighborhood Power Informal Popular Committees and Changing Local Governance in Egypt FEBRUARY 7, 2017 — CILJA HARDERS AND DINA WAHBA PAGE 1 After the uprising of 2011, new forms of political participation emerged, among them the popular committees (lijan sha’abiyah). Initially convened mainly to ensure security at the neighborhood level, the committees came to life after the withdrawal of police forces from the public in Cairo, Alexandria, Suez, Port Said, and many towns of the Nile Delta. After the initial eighteen days of the Egyptian revolution, the popular committees expanded their activities and, in different ways in different places, became vehicles to advocate for local needs through informal and formal channels. To a limited degree, the committees gave voice to groups and individuals that had been marginalized. Drawing on original fieldwork in several neighborhoods of Cairo and Giza, the authors argue that the committees embody a new form of political participation in Egypt, which has endured despite the country’s sharp return to authoritarianism. Although the committee are varied and imperfectly democratic, they are a dividend of the revolution that will continue to be relevant in Egypt’s political future. In the night of January 28, 2011, as police forces retreated from the public after massive attacks on police stations all over Egypt, an unprecedented form of local political organization was born.1 Residents in both poor and rich areas of Cairo and other cities drew on their neighborhood networks to form so-called “popular committees.” The groups’ first and foremost aim was safeguarding their lives and assets under circumstances of extreme uncertainty and the threat of repression.

El Sayed 3 *1 Department of Mines and quarry Minia Governorate, Egypt 2 Geology Department, Faculty of Science, Assiut University, Egypt 3 Geology Department, Faculty of Science, Minia University61519, Egypt Abstract A general increase of water demand in Egypt is prominently denoted. This situation is more noticeable in the Middle and Upper Egypt of arid Zone and limited water resources in which Assiut is one of the governorates of this Zone. The main objectives of this study are to assess the groundwater quality for irrigation, and to present solutions for managing and protecting these resources in Assiut area. To achieve that, one hundred and nine groundwater samples were collected from Quaternary aquifer during autumn of the year 2013. Chemical analysis was carried out and analyzed for major and trace elements according to the irrigation water guidelines of (FAO, 1985), and Rowe, et al. 1995, taking into account the spatial variations and the representation of the hydrochemical data. The results show that 47% none degree of restriction on use and 52% Slightly to moderate degree of restriction on use, According TDS hazarded. 55 % belongs to (C2- S1) good water for irrigation all crops in all soils and45 % belongs to (C3 -S1) good water for irrigation all crops in all soils under ordinary and specific condition like adequate drainage and leaching, According U.S.

To help the F.O.FO in pla­ nning and programming, its activities through scientific approach, Research Department Carrying out Co-ordinate studies to conduct practicable recommendation may help in modify the method of work to efficient ones. The rallies are consider one of the most impor­ tant methods using to spread information about contra­ ceptives adopted by F.of. So that, Research Department gave its attention to carry out a special study about this rallies and its relation with contraceptives sales. This report, which prepared by group of acadimic research, will present the final refiults of that study.
