Nous traiterons de l'album en le réintégrant dans son contexte originel (anecdotes, etc.)... Une chronique qui se veut 100% "passionnée" et "nostalgique" et qui nous l'espérons, vous fera réagir par le biais des commentaires ! Bon voyage ! Avec Lovedrive, SCORPIONS entame la plus extraordinaire trilogie discographique jamais enregistrée par un groupe de Rock allemand. Sans doute est-ce dû au succès rencontré par la tournée mondiale d’où fut tiré le splendide live Tokyo Tapes et qui a enfin apporté une crédibilité internationale aux arthropodes.Sans doute également l’intégration du jeune guitariste Matthias JABS (remplaçant l’excentrique Uli John ROTH, parti fonder ELECTRIC SUN, bien que l’on ressente encore parfois son apport musical) a-t-elle eu une influence sur le résultat final. Sans doute, encore, est-ce le fait de changer de label, passant de RCA à EMI. Sans doute, enfin, que la nationalité même du groupe fut un rempart contre le Punk qui a dévasté les plus grands noms de l’époque. Les conseils du producteur Dieter DIERKS expliquent également certainement le succès fulgurant remporté par ce cinquième album studio des SCORPIONS. Tout autant que la pochette (signée par l’avant-gardiste Hipgnosis) qui, une nouvelle fois (après celle fort décriée et aujourd’hui introuvable de Virgin Killer) fait jaser.

DIE ROCKBAND SCORPIONS Seit den 70er Jahren steht die deutsche Rockband Scorpions auf der Bühne. Hits wie "Rock You Like a Hurricane" oder "Wind of Change" machten sie weltberühmt. Eine Aus- stellung des "Rock und Pop Museums" in Gronau blickt jetzt auf die 40-jährige Bandge- schichte zurück. MANUSKRIPT SPRECHERIN: "Rock You Like a Hurricane" – ein Klassiker von den Scorpions. "Rock You Like A Hurri- cane" – das ist auch der Titel der Ausstellung über die Scorpions. Das "Rock und Pop Mu- seum" im nordrhein-westfälischen Gronau dokumentiert das Lebenswerk der Band, die auszog , um Geschichte zu schreiben. KLAUS MEINE (Sänger der Scorpions): Wenn man durch die Ausstellung geht, dann füllen sich diese 40 Jahre mit Leben, an so vielen Zeitabschnitten und mit so vielen Dokumenten. April 2013 Ludwigsburg MHP Arena Mystery World Tour Was viele nicht für möglich gehalten haben, wird im April 2013 nach langer Planung nun doch Wirklichkeit: Tobias Sammet hat sein Allstar-Projekt AVANTASIA wieder mobilisiert, um mit dem im März erscheinenden neuen Album "The Mystery Of Time" im Gepäck zu einem monumentalen Unterfangen, der „Mystery World Tour“, aufzubrechen. In wenigen ausgewählten Städten rund um den Globus werden AVANTASIA, bestehend aus einigen bereits von der letzten Tour bekannten Gaststars, aber auch großen Überraschungen, die einmalige AVANTASIA-Magie auf die Bühnen bringen. Weil Tobias und sein Starensemble sich allen Epochen der Bandhistorie - dem neuen Album, den Hits der Alben jüngerer Vergangenheit, aber selbstverständlich auch den Frühwerken - ausgiebig widmen und demenstprechend viele Stücke präsentieren wollen, werden AVANTASIA - zumindest bei der eigenen Hallentour - drei Stunden (!!!) spielen.
