Welcome, welcome, welcome to Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and all beaches in between! Yeah, baby! The season is here, and it's time to ride. Fall in Florida is awesome. We are so happy you are here and wish you a great and fun vacation. I want to thank the Iron Horse for the great cover. As always Mike Bernard, your artwork rocks. Thank you No Name Saloon for the back cover; and Harley-Davidson for the Centerfold. Without you guys, we don't exist. Moving on down the line, let's start out with Twisted Tea. Look for the tea baggin wagon and Billy G. Riverfront Park has Ultimate Bagger Show, lots of cool vendors and live bands on Friday and Saturday. Stop by and visit Michelle Michaels. And, as always, on Thursday – the Old School Chopper Show. Proceeds to benefit Arni and Veterans Support Fund. Don't bring the kids. See Tropical at Ormond and at Iron Horse Saloon. Stay out of tents, trailers and kitchens. Razorbacks – the Bank and Blues Club and Iron Horse – they are much to see! Marks Sports Pub has American Hot Rods and local prices all year round. No Name Saloon – Pat Travers – boom, boom baby. And the Rats Hole – for the first time. That's a great location and they have awesome food, too. Bulldogs Patches and Sewing – year round business since '79. Cacklebery's Campground – free BBQ for everyone on the 16th. Stop by and say hey. Rusty Jones Customs – see them at the Beaver Bar. He has custom parts for your Indian and Victory motorcycle. HelpMeRide – the power of sports financing. This will get your knees in the breeze, baby. Give Larry a call. He'll be able to get you financed. Check out Born to Ride's event in November. What a great band line-up. See the Guide for full details on this event. Skips Boots – I love mine! Need I say more. Harley-Davidson has Jackyl playing on Saturday night – FREE! And check the complete schedule of events going on at Saints and Sinners. They have some cool stuff happening. World Famous Cabbage Patch – coleslaw wrestling – 12noon on Saturday. Let's get crazy. He's got some bike shows, $10 camping, and so much going on that we can't name them all! Great prizes and give-a-ways – and cash, too. Beaver Bar – home of the $2 Beer. You never know what is gonna happen at the Beaver Bar. Come in and sit a spell. Relax. Enjoy! Iron Horse Saloon – they have David Allen Coe, the Razorbacks, Jasmine Cain, Mustang Sally. See the ad for all the events. And free beer! Get your mug! Pub 44 – Jared Blake from The Voice. Rock Pink. That's going to be a great event. Also 20 different bands in 5 days. And in November they are going to have Puddle of Mud. Check out their ad. Main Street Station – Rebel Son, Big Engine and a whole bunch more. Live music daily. Right in the heart of Main Street. Roadside Tavern – Princess Patti. Awesome food, great drinks. What else can you ask for. And local prices!!!! Live bands, too. Benji's Blues Doggle is coming up in Daytona right after Bike week in March (20th – 22nd). I want to thank Linda for typing, Mike for putting me together – and all the great art work; Thunder for the maps; Jane and Hank for getting me out and putting me up. Stephen Spoons Photography. Tell the advertisers you saw them in the Pocket Guide. We are advertiser supported. Tell the Advertisers that you saw them in the Pocket Guide, because we are advertiser supported. And don’t forget - We are available online and available approximately 2 weeks prior to the Rally so you can see what is happening before you leave your home to come here. You can actually plan on what you want to do during your stay. If you want to take advantage of an excellent opportunity to get your name out – give us a call at 386-323-9955 and we will put an advertising package together that fits your budget and your needs. In closing, my usual speech. Don't be dragging and revving your pipes, or you will get a ticket and free room and board. I hear the food is very good, though! So park your bike and take a taxi. Think before you drink, don't leave your drinks unattended – it's not the bartenders job to babysit your drinks. Take care of your servers – they work really hard to make your vacation awesome. Have a safe Biketoberfest. Remember – rubber side down, shiny side up. Have a safe holiday season and remember the ones that are less fortunate than you.
