NOTES: Support is conditional according to the Notes corresponding to the individual platform or application. See the Notes Reference for details All software configurations listed have been qualified with the following products: Veritas™ Cluster Server 6.0.2. Due to the number of combinations, it is not possible to test all combinations for compatibility. If a particular service pack or version of an application is not listed as specifically tested by Symantec, it may work fine, but has not been explicitly tested with the Veritas™ Cluster Server products. Software applications that are not on the Veritas™ Cluster Server Software Compatibility List (SCL) are provided "commercially reasonable effort" support only. Commercially reasonable effort support allows for escalations based on unqualified software, but if a problem is determined to be software specific, the problem is not guaranteed to be resolved.

Please subscribe to this document since the information in this document will be updated as necessary and subscribing will automatically notify you of any changes to it. In addition, if a particular platform is not currently listed as being supported, a request for additions to this list can be made through the Veritas Product Enhancement Web site: http://engweb.symantec.com/enhancement.

Detailed Supportability Notes Note 01: Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) 6.0.2 is a release specific to Linux guests (virtual machines) in a VMware ESX environment. Rolling upgrades to VCS 6.0.2 are currently not supported. Symantec recommends full upgrades.

Note 02: Symantec products SFCFSHA and SFRAC are intentionally not packaged with VCS 6.0.2 release media. If you want to deploy SFCFSHA or SFRAC products, Symantec recommends that you install SFHA 6.0.1 or SFHA 6.0.3 (after Jan 30, 2013).

Note 03: VCS 6.0.2 introduces application failover capabilities on VMware guests, without compromising on VMware vMotion. If you are an existing Symantec Application 6.0 user, and want to configure application failover, you cannot directly upgrade to VCS 6.0.2. You must upgrade to an appropriate ESX version if required, and then upgrade to VCS 6.0.2.

Note 04: For OEL 5.x and OEL 6.x, SFHA 6.0.2 does not support Oracle Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel, it only supports RedHat compatible kernel.
