Winter is in the past and life in the Rockies is exploding all around us with a cacophony of wildlife activity and . This is a very special time of year and a sign of the warmer days of summer to come. Well here's your chance to capture all the excitement of spring, join award winning outdoor & nature Nick Fucci for an inspirational three-day Spring photography workshop with the amazing wildlife ambassadors of the world renowned Triple D Ranch. With Triple D's experienced professional trainers you'll create a portfolio of outstanding wildlife images all in all while learning the tips, tricks, techniques of photography and about these amazing animals and their behaviors, habitats and key seasons to them. In just a few days you’ll be capturing truly stunning images to add to your photography portfolio. No more will you miss the shot because you were adjusting your settings!

Your wildlife subjects can include: Mountain Lions, Bobcat and Lynx, Wolves (solo and as a pack), Badgers, Coyotes, Pine Marten's, Fishers, Raccoons, Red Fox, and Grizzly bears. While we’ll be concentrating on the wildlife of the Rocky Mountains you’ll also have the opportunity to photograph such rare and endangered exotic species as Snow and Amur Leopards, and Tigers. Participants are encouraged to submit their wish list! The Workshop Includes: The chance to photograph healthy, rare and seldom seen wildlife in natural environments both on the grounds of Triple D and on locations in beautiful Northwest Montana specifically selected to mimic the animal’s natural habitat.  A minimum of 8 photo sessions over the three day workshop.  Daily classroom sessions; topics for discussion include: o Field Techniques, o Camera control, o Understanding and using it effectively, o Effective use of light and understanding it’s importance, o Compositional elements, o Wildlife timing, seasons, locations, predicting behavior and ETHICS, o Gentle image Critiques, Post Processing Editing Techniques, and workflow,  Triple D's professional trainers and wildlife handlers  Nick has over 25 years of experience teaching photography and leading workshops and photo Safaris to locations such as Southern Africa, Costa Rica, Alaska and across north America.  Small workshop size, the workshop is limited to 12 . Itinerary:

 May 9th, Morning orientation at Triple D Ranch, introductions and itinerary.  9th, 10th, 11th, Morning and Afternoon wildlife photo sessions at various locations. Locations are chosen to match the animal’s natural habitat.  Morning shooting sessions are followed by mid-day classroom session: camera control, successful wildlife secrets and image critique.  May 12th, weather day and optional wildlife photo sessions.  May 13th, Departure. If you have scheduled optional sessions departure may be scheduled later. Optionals: Besides the 8 sessions included in the workshop, Triple D offers additional sessions at $150/species/session. Should you like to photograph a subject that was not included in the workshop, here’s your chance a substantially discounted rate. For large primary species there is a minimum of 4 persons are required.

Workshop Fees and other costs:  $1195/photographer  $1145/Student with valid student ID & Photography Clubs  $200/accompanying non-photographer o A $100/pp non-refundable deposit is required to confirm registration. o Balance of payment can be paid at the beginning of the workshop  Not Included - Not included in the cost of the workshop are; Transportation to Kalispell Montana, Meals, Lodging and Gratuities.

Haven’t had Enough? Upon completion of the workshop Nick offers Photography tours of the local area to some of the local hot spots to photograph the wildlife and scenery of Northwest Montana. Known as his “Montana on the Fly” photo safaris these are offered at a discounted price of $225/p- photographer/day, regularly $400, $100/pp/day for accompanying non-photographer. General Information and Instructor Bio; In keeping with my small group policy for all my tours and workshops, the 2019 “Springtime in the Rockies Workshop” is limited to 12 photographers. This allows for flexibility in obtaining a variety of shots including; close-ups, portraits, behavior and action. This also allows the individual photographer the flexibility to change positions to get the shot he or she desires and if you missed the shot the first time we can repeat the action or behavior. The Triple D Ranch has been working with both professional and amateur photographers, artists and film companies for many years and as such are experts at getting the subjects into the optimum locations for your shot. Nick is a professional outdoor & nature photographer currently living in the Flathead Valley of Montana. Originally from Alaska, Nick is the past President of both the Alaska Society of Outdoor & Nature Photographers and the Northwest Montana Nature Photographers. His work has been widely published throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He currently leads photo safaris and workshops to Alaska, Michigan, Costa Rica, Africa and closer to home, in Montana, and the west. Nick also serves on the Professional Photographer’s Advisory Counsel for the North American Nature Photographer’s Association.

Nick has taught photography for over 25 years and currently teaches Introduction to Outdoor & Nature Photography and an Intermediate Outdoor & Nature Photography Workshop at Flathead Valley Community College.
