Holy Family Catholic Schools As I reflect on my first year as chief administrator, I’m pleased to look back at a year 2011–2012 filled with major accomplishments for our system. I invite you to take a few minutes to review this annual report, a compilation of our 2011–2012 highlights and Carol Trueg Chief Administrator a reflection of the hard work and generosity of our staff, students, parents and Catholic community. Board of Education While I’m very proud of all of our accomplishments, I’m not satisfied. Academics At the start of the 2011–2012 school year, Chief Administrator Carol Trueg challenged every member of the Holy Family staff to contribute to one goal: help make Holy Family Catholic Schools the top academic system in the state in five years. With a renewed laser-like focus on faith and academics, the entire system set out with a plan to increase expectations immediately and also each year following for pre-K through 12th-grade students. With a curriculum aligned with the Iowa Core and expectations set by the Archdiocese of Dubuque, Holy Family helps students achieve at their highest potential and better prepares them for an ever-changing, competitive marketplace.
