May we always keep in mind that this parish exists to give glory to God in all we do and for each one of us to be sanctified in our lives. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us. The St Francis of Assisi Parish Finance Council assists me in the administration of parish temporal matters. The Code of Canon Law or Church Law, mandates that each parish have a finance council which is an advisory and consultative body with the pastor. I am deeply grateful for the gifts that our fellow parishioners have given over the years in the care of the gift of treasure. Most recently we have had some long-term members retire from many years of service. I would like to thank Jim Hahn, Mike McVey and Kevin Laury for their dedication to serving our parish. They have been through various pastors, ups and downs with our finances, capital campaigns, school decisions and so many other aspects. The gifts they have shared from their professional lives have benefited our parish tremendously and for that I am thankful. The current Finance Council is working hard on continuing to be a support to me with our parish finances. In collaboration with our new principal they are being proactive and working diligently ensuring our school remains financially viable. They continue to look at long term goals for our parish as well. Your current Finance Council Members are: Tiffany Hunt – Chair Rochelle Neidringhaus Mike Clavin Brian Ferguson Frank Mondello Julio Lecroy Brian Wissman A year and a half ago the Archdiocese of St. Louis of St. Louis launched the beONE initiative, a call to the revitalization of our local Church. It is a call to renew our baptismal promises to be the Church, to live out the Gospel, and help one another be more Catholic and get to Heaven. After the launch of beONE: A bold vision for Catholic St. Louis, where do things stand? “Or who has given the Lord anything that he may be repaid?” - ROMANS 11:35 St. Paul reminds us of a central fact of stewardship. We cannot give the Lord anything, because God already owns it all. God made everything. All that we can do is return a portion of God’s many gifts back to Him. Sincere gratitude for our gifts opens our hearts to joyful generosity! Spending Time with God in Prayer. Read: Lure Of Saints: A Protestant Experience by Jon M. Sweeney.
