To me they always seemed untouchable and so far away. Nevertheless, I would always hear about them on the news. Even though they were a horrid wretched I still found them to be appealing. So when I had the opportunity to research Indiana history, I immediately took the opportunity research the Ku Klux Klan. Before starting the project I did some research on the Klan and their presence in society today. From there I was able to find out that the KKK had a very strong presence in the state of Indiana. I began my research by reading a short history on the KKK in Indiana, after this I learned about D.C Stephenson the Grand Dragon of Indiana’s Klan. After this beginning research, I was able to find that the Klan had many political connections such as Edward L. Jackson, the former Governor of Indiana. I then went to the Indiana Historical Society to find more about how the Klan and their inner workings. While there I looked at posters, notes from meetings, and even had the opportunity to look at a real Klan robe. Finally, I then researched more about the Klan today and how the older Klan affected our society today. I have always enjoyed watching documentaries, and I felt that a documentary was the best way to talk about this topic. I used photos from the 1920s as well as modern photos to show both the affect the KKK had on our society today, as well as to show white supremacy now.

Of this astonishing number, those films made in Bombay, in a seamless blend of Hindi and Urdu, have the widest distribution within India and Internationally. The two sister languages are spoken in six northern states and understood by over 500 million people on the Indian sub – continent alone – reason enough for Hindi and Urdu to be chosen above the fourteen official Indian languages to become the languages of Indian Popular cinema when sound came to the Indian Silver screen in 1931 . Silent Era – The cinematographe (from where we have the name cinema) invented by the Lumiere brothers functioned better the Kinetoscope of Edison and Dickson. The Lumiere brothers who invented the cinematographe started projection of short (very short, one to two minutes long) films for the Parsian public on November 28, 1895.

Opinion FLETCHER, Circuit Judge: This copyright infringement suit arises out of defendants’ use of five songs from plaintiffs’ dramatico-musical play Kismet in a musical revue staged at defendant MGM Grand Hotel in 1974–76. After a bench trial, the district court found infringement and awarded the plaintiffs $22,000 as a share of defendants’ profits. Plaintiffs appeal and defendants cross-appeal. We affirm in part, reverse in part, and remand. I. FACTS The original version of Kismet was a dramatic play, written by Edward Knoblock in 1911. Knoblock copyrighted the play as an unpublished work in that year *510 and again as a published work in 1912. Knoblock’s copyright expired in 1967, and the dramatic play Kismet entered the public domain. In 1952, plaintiff Edwin Lester acquired the right to produce a musical stage production of the dramatic play Kismet. Lester hired plaintiffs Luther Davis and Charles Lederer to write the libretto and plaintiffs Robert Wright and George Forrest to write the music and lyrics for the musical adaptation. In 1953 and 1954, Lederer and Davis copyrighted their dramatico-musical play Kismet, and in 1953, Wright and Forrest assigned to plaintiff Frank Music Corporation the right to copyright all portions of the musical score written for Kismet.
