P2A Program Activities Detailed Description and Objectives of Each Activity

Activity 1 – Welcome reception and Ice Breaking with Thai Buddy Time to get to know each other! When the P2A group arrive, they will meet with the P2A Coordinators and the Thai Buddies. We will discuss the plans for upcoming program followed an ice breaking activities to get to know your Thai Buddies. They will join you for some of your journey, and will be your true guide to understanding Thailand!

Activity 2 - Introduction to BUUIC and Campus Tour In this session you learn more about our BUUIC, Students will be guided around the University. During the campus tour, student can understand each part of university history. At the end of the tour, student will be introduced to the restaurants, cafeterias and shops around campus where they can enjoy the Thai foods just like a local.

Activity 3 – Wang Saen Suk Monastery Garden – Temple of Heaven and Hell A Must-see buddhist temple located in Bang Saen city, Chonburi province. It features religious sculptures on the area of 32 rai, featuring large and small ghastly figures displaying the suffering and punishment received after death from doing bad deeds. It also a reminder for people to keep high moral standards and the faith in the Lord Buddha’s law of cause and effect. There is a literature zone featuring Phra Abhai Mani, the masterpiece story of Soonthorn Phu, a great poet in the reign of Rattanakosin. There are also figures of deities in other religions. There is also a lake where you can feed doves, fish and turtles to make merit.

Activity 4 – Discovery Khao Sam Muk – monkey mountain and Bangsaen beach Khao Sam Muk : A Monkey-mountain situated between district and BangSaen beach. A good spot to see the panoramic view of Chonburi sea. This hilltop is also a home for a group of wild monkey. Along the hill-side, you will enjoy the top view of Ang Sila Bay, Laem Thaen Bay and Bang Saen Bay. After go down from the hill to the Bangsean beach, you will enjoy strolling along the long sandy beach and tasting the delicious seafood available from vendors along the pavement together with learning our Thai local lifestyle. Peaceful and relaxing time, let’s breathe!

Activity 5 – Visit The 4 Regions Pattaya Floating Market The Four Regions Floating Market is separated into four sections – each representing and selling items from the four major parts of Thailand (north, northeast, central and south). For a floating market experience, you can hire a man-powered boat to get around and discover the richness of the surrounding Thai architecture and riverside life. The market also features other educational and entertaining attractions. The wood-carving museum displays beautiful carved images. If photography is one of your hobbies, don’t miss the sunflower and agricultural demonstration fields. There is also a daily show featuring four cultural performances where you can experience the real Thai lifestyle here!

Activity 6 – Reflection of Journey at BUUIC After the journey, we expect to listen to your thoughts and what you have experienced. You will take time to individually, or in small groups, reflect on your experiences in Thailand over the last 3 days. In this final activity, the P2A Buddies will record any reactions that you have, and more importantly, and changes in your perception about Thailand and Thai people. We hope that this can be a beautiful summary for this Journey and contribute to your future self-development.
