Stations of the Cross will be read by the following groups each week: Feb 16 – Men of St. Jerome (MOSTJ); Feb 23 – The Women’s Society – Stations of the Cross from Mary’s View; Mar 3 – MOSTJ; Mar 9 – Knights of Columbus (Fish Dinner); Mar 16 – Waco Catholic Moms; Mar 23 – Senior Youth Group - Mime Stations; Mar 30 – 3PM Good Friday – MOSTJ - Fr. Raj Reflection. After Stations the group responsible for the Stations of the Cross each week will put on a Lenten Supper in Jordan Hall. All are invited and urged to come to these devotions. R.C.I.A. Temptation and Sin—We cannot protect ourselves from all temptations, from all suggestions that God’s ways are too costly or too difficult. Every sin is a lie because it presents itself as some type of shortcut around God’s ways. We can al- ways pray that God will help us to resist temptations. In fact, if we recognize every temptation to sin as some type of lie, then our repeated decision to live in the whole truth about God, ourselves and others should help us to do what we know is right. Theological Virtues-Faith, Hope, Charity—The theological virtues are the foundation of Christian moral activity. They inform and give life to all the moral virtues. They are infused by God into the souls of the faithful to make them capable of acting as his children and of meriting eternal life. They are the pledge of the presence and action of the Holy Spirit in the faculties of the human being. There are three theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity. (CCC 1813) Class Topic 2/21: Temptation & Sin – Theological Virtues From Ashes to Easter The annual diocesan Ashes to Easter Lenten Mission Campaign has begun. Each family is invited to pick up a box and keep it on or near the family dining table or by their bedside table. Put in some coins each day during Lent, and pray for missions worldwide. Contributing coins each day is a corporal work of mercy that will help shelter the homeless and a spiritual work of mercy that will help comfort the sorrowful. The money collected helps local missionaries and missionary projects from our diocese. Baptism Class Jordan Hall, 6:30pm. Classes are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
