This study addressed this problem posed by mapping land uses at the elevated zones determined by the provincial policy and regulation. A case study was carried out for Kamala sub-district, Phuket, the South of Thailand. The Geoeye satellite image accessed in January 2011 was used to classify land use and land cover types. Field survey was conducted for the accuracy assessment of land use and land cover mapping. Four zones were 0-40 meters, 40-80 meters, 80-125 meters and above 125 meters from sea level. Our findings emphasize that the lands at the elevated zones 0-40 meters and 40-80 meters were mainly categorized as bare lands. These lands have not yet been filled up as the investors have overstated. There would be no need to revise the policy and regulation for allowing the buildings and constructions on the lands above 80 meters. Future land use policy and management should consider a balance between the development and environmental protection.

The researcher substantiates this argument by exploring the 'participatory tourism planning' concept in detail. Based on this approach, the community is identified as a primary customer for whom tourism marketers have ignored involving in their marketing attention, messages and programmes. The fundamental concept - marketing orientation and customer orientation - combined with emerging marketing theories were reviewed.in order to help examine how destination marketing, a community-driven approach, should be implemented within a destination area. This examination of marketing and community based tourism planning set a platform for this research. Introduction The Indian Ocean earthquake was an undersea megathrust earthquake with a magnitude of 9.0, occurred at 00.58 GMT on Sunday, December 26, 2004, with an epicenter off the coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia. This earthquake was so large that it produced numerous aftershocks, some registering a magnitude of as great as 7.1. This quake displaced massive volumes of water, triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of most landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean including Thailand's southern Andaman coast. As a consequent, a colossal tsunami waves struck Thailand's six southern provinces namely, Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. The first four provinces had been unprecedentedly devastated with high loss of life as well as major damage to the natural environment, marine resources. The damage sustained to the environment was also impacting on thousands of people whose homelands located on those particular areas. The severe impact led to the serious consequences on two major communities, that were, the coastal fishing community and the sea gypsies or so- called Moken community. People's life had worsened, as these two communities depended on the land and the sea for resources to earn income in sectors like tourism and fishing.

    Joint investment project plan 2020 - 2027 Information as of March 2020 Preface The Public-Private Partnership Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PPP ACT) requires the preparation of a joint investment project plan (joint investment plan) in accordance with the policy and the direction stipulated in the master plan under the national strategy (Master Plan) prepared by the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) and stipulates that the implementation under the PPP Act 2562 must achieve the objectives of public-private investment pursuant to Article 6, including consistency with the joint investment plan. In addition, the joint investment plan 2020 - 2027 will enable government agencies to have a clear and definite state policy framework for infrastructure and public services, including creating interest and urging private sectors to participate in joint projects under the said plan to reduce investment restrictions from the national budget and government loans as well as being able to increase efficiency in providing services to people through private knowledge, skills, expertise and innovation in public services. The joint investment plan 2020-2027 is a long-term plan. Project information, therefore, has included a list of projects that the agency intends to jointly invest in a total of 92 projects, with a total investment of 1.09 trillion baht. It is a list of joint investment projects with complete and detailed information under Article 12 of the Public-Private Partnership Act B.E. 2562 (2019), totaling 27 projects, estimated total investment value 684,317 million baht, 18 projects of them are considered Priority PPP Project.
