LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

This Report on the Activities of the Europamundo Foundation is intended to be published in March 2020, and given the events that have taken place as a result of the COVID19 pandemic, we believe that it is important to introduce this reflection by our President as a letter of presentation of the Report.

THE WORLD WAR OF HOPE - Will the human species be able to learn and grow after this terrible experience?

THE FIRST WORLD WAR IN WHICH WE ALL FOUGHT TOGETHER

In this new era, for the first time in the history of our species, the entire population, from all continents, religions and races, are fighting a war... all with the same objective: to win this war together...

How painful is the history of humanity... there has been so much suffering, so much hatred, so much distance... So much destruction in the countless wars over the centuries... this one has a immensely hopeful difference: they were always against each other, they all distanced us; they all left a dramatic trail of desolation and tears that were generated by hatred, local selfishness, intolerance and walls...

For the first time in this war we are all together, together in tears, together in the fight against the disease... for the first time in history this war will not separate us, but it is an opportunity to unite and seek together a better, fairer, more supportive, more sustainable future.

The first time that ALL HUMANITY, has the same objective, shares the same fears, they feel united in their tears.

An immense opportunity to realize that we inhabit only one planet and that what unites us has always been much more than what separates us.

A war that may allow us to destroy walls and build bridges when we manage, humanity as a whole, to overcome it and understand that we are sailing on the same ship: our beautiful blue planet.

Will the human species be able to learn and grow after this terrible experience?

The world war of hope!

Since the birth of our foundation, on April 29, 2011, 148 projects and 38 emergency actions have been supported in 30 countries, with a total of 255,938 direct beneficiaries, in the projects we have financed.

As President of the Europamundo Foundation and CEO of Europamundo Vacaciones, I am proud to present this report.

ACTIVITIES OF THE FOUNDATION

WHAT IS THE EUROPAMUNDO FOUNDATION? ALLIANCE BETWEEN NGO AND THE COMPANY.

EUROPAMUNDO FOUNDATION (FEM) is a private, non-profit organisation with its own legal personality and full capacity to act. The will of its founders, Europamundo Vacaciones (EMV), is the realization of the purposes of general interest that are reflected in its statutes. https://www.cloud-europamundo.com/fundacion/files/2014_08/estatutos_fundacion_europamundo.pdf . FEM works to promote coexistence and understanding between cultures, seeking a more tolerant and diverse world, promoting the use and enrichment of the cultural heritage of humanity and especially promoting tourism awareness among the peoples of the world as a strategy for development through sustainable tourism. With Global Compact, it works for the elimination of poverty, the fight against climate change and the reduction of inequality, through the United Nations Agenda 2030, its 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the 169 associated goals, as well as the development of Good Practices within its COMparte platform. With the UNWTO, it collaborates in the ST-EP (Responsible and Sustainable Tourism for the Elimination of Poverty) initiative created at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg in 2002.

The contributions to this Foundation come mainly from its parent company EMV and from the collaborators of Europamundo Vacaciones through its Operators, Suppliers, Travel Agents, Partners and Staff of the Company, as well as indirectly through the totality of the passengers that have as destination the circuits of Europamundo Vacaciones. Europamundo Vacaciones allocates 2 euros to its Foundation for each passenger who makes the EMV circuits, to support the NGO projects presented in its annual call.

Europamundo Vacaciones through its Foundation launches its ninth call for proposals of the 2019 FEM Fund, in September 2019, with a budget of 276,170 euros, which is of a social nature and is aimed at supporting activities aimed at improving the living conditions of people by collaborating in the creation of a more sustainable, diverse and tolerant world.

It is in FEM's general interest to carry out social action and cooperation activities for the development of areas and sectors of the population, especially vulnerable both in Spain and in other countries, and to promote sustainable human development. Also the actions that contribute to promote and improve the impact of sustainable and responsible tourism.

In all these stages, the nutrition of the children is primordial since most of them when they arrive at our home suffer from severe malnutrition problems. PROGRAMME OF ACTION, DEFENCE AND REACTION AGAINST GENDER VIOLENCE

We conceived the Programme of Action, Defence and Reaction against Gender Violence by assessing our needs and the response of the system (judicial, police, health, comprehensive and social care system...). By undertaking their liberation, women initiate a fight on multiple fronts: judicial, social, labor, physical and emotional. The economic, physical and psychological consequences of the mistreatment diminish their capacity of reaction. The scarcity of aid provokes labour exploitation, a fall into poverty, new mistreatment due to an increase in vulnerability, the steps taken being shaken or encouraged to never take them for fear of it and the lack of confidence in the system.

Our program serves as an effective support as the woman advances in the process, increasing her capacity to defend herself physically, emotionally, judicially, socially and laboriously, providing them with adequate tools to undertake a new life without violence.

Collaboration agreements

PASOS COOPERATION

Europamundo Vacaciones has renewed the collaboration agreement with the NGO Pasos Cooperación to finance a project for a network of community health volunteers in the region of Tounfite, province of Midelt in the Moroccan Atlas.

The aim is to influence the health of the population of isolated villages without health posts in the Central High Atlas in the Tounfite Circle, with an altitude of between 1800 and 2300 meters, maintaining the network of "base houses" equipped with emergency care kits, attended by health volunteers. The network of health volunteers has 23 volunteers from 16 villages in the area of Tounfite and Imichil.

This project is developed in the Central High Atlas in the villages of the valleys between Tounfite and (communes of , Sidi Yahya and Anemzi. province of Midelt). It is a region of high mountains, population of Amazigh language and culture, with an agro- pastoral economy (agricultural crops and grazing of goats and sheep) of survival, although there is a small rural tourism activity very little developed (also survival). There is a very high degree of illiteracy, which is more than 90 % in women. There are villages up to 2,200 m above sea level, and the climate is very cold in winter, with abundant snowfalls that often isolate the population.

The duration of the project is one year starting in October 2018 and ending in September 2019. Two expeditions are carried out, one in October before the snows and the other in May after the snows.
