34 Fall 2017 • Program Brochure Swim Lesson Registration Information

IMPORTANT Lessons INFORMATION… In September we will begin some massive renovations to our pool facility, including the installation of a hot tub, the movement of our current diving board (to a better position to maximize pool usage) and the tiling of the deck surface in the deep end/starting block area. We will be reopening the pool in mid-October in a limited capacity. Work will continue through November during the week. In terms of how the construction will affect continued pool usage (ie: power outages, noise level…) remains unknown.

Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to NOT have any weekday or weeknight swim lessons this session when construction is occurring.

We will move forward with WEEKEND ONLY swim lessons, in a modified time frame.

We hope you are able to take advantage of our 5 week session beginning in mid- October and ending before the Thanksgiving holiday. We have added in more classes, as well as another hour of Saturday lessons to accommodate the increase in weekend participants.

Thank you for your patience! We are excited to resume our full docket of swim lessons for the Winter 2018 session in our enhanced facility!

Please note the following… 1. Registrations will be accepted for our Fall swim lessons through the close of business on Friday, October 6th OR when classes are full.

2. Our Fall session of swim lessons runs for 5 weeks total. In the event of a facility closure due to weather or a pool related/construction issue, we are UNABLE to accommodate a make-up for the missed class. We do not allow for individuals to make up a missed class, due to safety standards we must maintain for class sizes, instructor ratios and pool spacing. 3. Adults may register for adult swim lessons online or at the desk.

A Note to Parents In order to derive the maximum benefits from swim lessons, the following suggestions are recommended: 1. In order to keep hair out of your child’s eyes, PLEASE style hair in a ponytail, braid, or use a swim cap. 2. Always have your child use the restroom before class. 3. Try to get your child to every class on time and ask your child to learn the instructor’s name. 4. Do not expect miracles from your child. Improvement in swimming is often gradual. At the end of each session a progress card is handed out providing the next class level recommendation. Often it takes several sessions to move from one level to the next.
