COMPETITION WINNERS

TAEKWONDO

1. Alessandra Cortez of 2-Sacrifice competed in the Philippine Taekwondo Association Summer Milo Taekwondo Clinic held last May 3, 2017 at the Royal Fitness.  She won a Gold medal in the said competition. 2. Andrea Gail Eñano of 5-Wisdom competed in the 2017 -Pasay-Taguig Interschool Teakwondo championships held last October 15, 2017 at Don Bosco, Makati.  She won a Silver medal in Sparring and Broze medal in Poomsae event.

3. Satya Torres of 5-Counsel competed in the 2017 Makati-Pasay-Taguig Interschool Teakwondo championships held last October 15, 2017 at Don Bosco, Makati.  She won a Silver medals for both Forms and Sparring.

GYMNASTICS

1. Chiara Lourice Acedera of 4-Esther participated in the Bangkok Falcons Gymnastics Championships held last June 3-4, 2017 at NIST International School, Bangkok, Thailand. She ranked 6th among the 36 athletes who competed in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Level 1 Senior division.  Their team won 2nd place over-all. She won a Bronze Medal for Floor Exercise and ranked 4th for Vault and Balance Beam events.

2. Chiara Lourice Acedera of 4-Esther participated in the Assumption College Gymnastics Meet held last July 30, 2017. She competed for the first time in Level 2-Women’s Artistic Gymnastics.  She won 4 Gold medals in all events Floor Exercise, Vault, Balance Beam and Bars.

3. Amber Florence Endriano of 3-St. Maria Goretti participated in the Gymnastic Academy 2nd St. Marie Eugene Gymanastics Cup 2017 held last July 30, 2017 at Assumption Antipolo. She competed in Level 1-Senior Age Group 8-9 years old.  She won Gold medals in Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Vault and Floor Events.

4. Chiara Lourice Acedera of 4-Esther participated in the 2017 Club Gymnastica Friendship Meet sponsored by MILO held last September 30-October 1, 2017 at Club Gymnastica, . She competed in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Level 2 Division.  She won 4th Place over-all champion and won 4 Gold medals in all events namely vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercises. Her team was awarded 1st runner up in the Team Category.

5. Briana Zari Pacris of 2-Faith participated in the 2017 Club Gymnastica Friendship Meet sponsored by MILO held last September 30-October 1, 2017 at Club Gymnastica, Pasig.  She won Silver medals in the Floor Exercise, Balance Beam , Uneven Bar and a Gold medal for Vault routine.

6. Lana Kristin Galliguez of 6-Mary of the Annunciation participated in the 2017 Club Gymnastica Friendship Meet sponsored by MILO held last September 30- October 1, 2017 at Club Gymnastica, Pasig. She represented Let’s Cartwheel Gymnastics Team.  She won Silver medals for Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise and Gold medals for Vault and Balance Beam Routine.

7. Lana Kristin Galliguez of 6-Mary of the Annunciation competed in an inter-club competition for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) representing Let’s Cartwheel Gymnastics Team in the 2nd Sonny Ty Gymnastics Cup 2017 held last October 14- 15, 2017 at Muntinlupa City.  She won Gold Medals in the Vault, Balance Beam, Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise

VOLLEYBALL

1. Alliana Mae Alvarez of 6-Mary of the Annunciation competed in the BEST Center Volleyball Clinic held last May 30, 2017 at the Ateneo College Covered Court Katipunana, Q.C. sponsored by MILO.  She was awarded as the “Most Improved Player” of Level 2 age group 14 and above.

SWIMMING

1. Bianca Medina of 6-Mary of the Assumption, Dana Reyes of 6-Mary of Cana and Keira Dianne Reyes of 5-Piety competed in the Bert Lozada Swim School, First Plunge Novice Take Your Mark Swim meet held at Philippine Columbian Association (PCA), Manila last May 27-28, 2017.  They won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in the following: 100 and 25 meter Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, Medley, and Freestyle relay for girls. 2. Erika Jazmine Martin of 6-Mary of the Annunciation competed in the Emilio Aguinaldo High School 100 meter butterfly event.  She won a bronze medal the said event. She was also promoted to Class B of the Philippine Swimming League. The second highest level in her category.

3. Jasiel Romina Tamayo of 4-Judith competed in the Speedo Jumpstart Swim Carnival held at Xavier School last June 3, 2017. She won a Bronze Medal for 25- meter Backstroke for girls. She also competed in the 120th PSL (Philippine Swimming League) Motivational Meet held at Diliman Preparatory School last August 6, 2017.  She won a Bronze medal for 50-meter Breaststroke for girls.

ARCHERY

1. Gabrielle Alingog of 6-Mary of the Assumption competed in the Archery Battle Doubles Division held last June 30, 2017, at Arrowland by Gandiva.  She won 1st place in the said competition.

BALLET

1. Samantha Lois Cua of 6-Mary of Bethlehem participated in the 19th Asia Pacific Dance Competition last August 17-20, 2017 held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  She represented the in the 12 and under category for ballet. She was awarded Honorable Mention for 12 and under Classical Ballet Troupe and Modern Troupe.

2. Charisse Mae Sibal of 6-Mary of Annunciation participated in the 19th Asia Pacific Dance Competition last August 17-20, 2017 held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She represented the Philippines in the 12 and under category for ballet.  She was awarded Honorable Mention for 12 and under Classical Ballet Troupe and Modern Troupe. She was also awarded 3rd place in 12 and Under Tap Troupe, 3rd place in 15 and under Lyrical Troupe and Honorable Mention in 15 and Under Modern Troupe.

JIU-JITZU

1. Danielle Eliza Galliguez of 6-Mary of Jerusalem is a member of ATOS Philippines (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). She competed in the “ROLLAPALOOZA” a Brazilian Jiu-Jitzu Tournament held last September 2, 2017 at the Expo Hall, Fisher Mall, Quezon City.  She won a Bronze medal under the 30kg mix category for kids.

ART

1. Raine Sta Maria of 4-Judith competed in the Global Art National Competition 2017. It was held last September 24, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura. Taguig.  She was awarded as TOP ARTIST in the said competition.

2. Hailey Sofia Felice F. Leonardo of 5-Reverence competed in the Global Art National Competition 2017 Category 1 – Acrylic Painting. It was held last September 24, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura, Taguig.  She was awarded as First Runner Up Painting category in the said competition

3. Sofia Danielle Madriaga 3-St. Anne competed in the Global Art National Competition 2017 Category B – Drawing and Coloring. It was held last September 24, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura. Taguig.  She was awarded as TOP ARTIST in the said competition.

SOCCER

1. Waven Anica Uy of 5-Wisdom competed in the Powerade Soccer Festival sponsored by Powerade held last October 8, 2017 at Brent International School.  She won 3rd place under age 14 years old division. 2. Raizza Tuazon of 5-Counsel competed in the Powerade Soccer Festival sponsored by Powerade held last October 8, 2017 at Brent International School.  She won 3rd place in the said completion.

FOOTBALL

1. Venice Rhian Cambri of 5-Reverence competed in the 7-A Side Football Tournament sponsored by 14th Football Girls Association held at British School Manila last October 7, 2017.  Venice together with her group won 1st runner up in the said competition.

Academic Excellence Award

1. Marthena Isabel Manio Juan of 3-St. Maria Goretti was chosen by PLDT Smart Foundation to be awarded as Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) Academic Excellence Awards last August 8, 2017 held at Theater, Meralco Corporation, Pasig City.

2. Alyana Sofia Coloma of 2-Generosity was chosen by PLDT Smart Foundation to be awarded as Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) Academic Excellence Awards last August 8, 2017 held at Meralco Theater, Meralco Corporation, Pasig City.  She was also awarded by Bert Lozada Swim School as Best Survival Swimmer.

3. Francesca Stephanie T. Tumaneng of 6-Mary of the Mountains of Judah competed in the 2017 International Math Open for Young Achievers for Upper Primary (IMOYA) held at United World College, Dover Campus, Singapore.  She won a Silver Medal and a certificate for individual competition and a Bronze Medal for Team competition

4. Dominique Joy Rustia of 6-Mary of Cana competed in the 2017 International Math Open for Young Achievers for Upper Primary (IMOYA) held at United World College, Dover Campus, Singapore.  She won a Silver Medal and a certificate for individual competition

5. Dominique Joy Rustia of 6-Mary of Cana competed in the International Teenagers Mathematics Olympiad (ITMO) National Parallel Cluster, Upper Primary Division Level (Grades 5 and 6) last November 11, 2017, held at Jose Rizal High School, Manila. Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue, Pasig, .  She won a Silver Medal in the said competition

6. Bea Althea Kee Navelgas of 6-Mary of the Assumption competed in the International Teenagers Mathematics Olympiad (ITMO) National Parallel Cluster, Upper Primary Division Level (Grades 5 and 6) last November 11, 2017, held at Jose Rizal High School, Manila. Dr. Sixto Antonio Avenue, Pasig, Metro Manila.  She won a Bronze Medal in the said competition

7. Reinalyn Fiona Bautista of 6-Mary of Jerusalem competed in the Kulturang Pinoy Quiz Wiz Year VIII last November 25, 2017 held at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, , Manila.  She was awarded 3rd place and a bronze medal during the Oral Defense Round of the competition.

8. Jillian Villamor of 6-Mary of the Cenacle competed in the Kulturang Pinoy Quiz Wiz Year VIII last November 25, 2017 held at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Intramuros, Manila.  She was awarded 1st place and a gold medal during the Oral Defense Round of the competition.

There were 175 participants from different schools qualified for the Finals of Kulturang Pinoy Wiz Year VIII. They answered 50 difficult questions about History, Culture and Current Events for the Difficult Round. Only 29 participants passed the written round. Eleven students from our eighteen representatives passed and qualified for the last round which is the Oral Defense Round.

Jillian Villamor of 6-Mary of the Cenacle and Reinalyn Fiona Bautista of 6-Mary of Jerusalem were among the Top 6.

St. Theresa’s College Q.C. was declared as CHAMPION of the Kulturang Pinoy Quiz Wiz for the fifth consecutive years.
