DISTANCE EDUCATION: Certificate and licensure programs, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees through technology- based course delivery and off-site extension classes, including the Albuquerque Center. COOPERATIVE EXTENSION: Educational and administrative locations in every New Mexico county. ATHLETICS: 16 intercollegiate teams in the NCAA Division I-A WAC; 2 venues: Pan American Center seats 12,590 and Aggie Memorial Stadium seats 30,000. Huerta, President Doña Ana Felicia Casados, President Grants Board of Regents Overall responsibility for the university resides in an autonomous Board of Regents appointed by the governor of the state and confirmed by the state Senate. The board delegates authority for the internal management of the institution to the president. The faculty elects a Faculty Senate, which has legislative jurisdiction over policies affecting the academic mission of the university.
