August 4, 2021 Open Letter to the Citizens of Washington State Due especially to the state of emergency declaration in effect since March 2020 and resulting mandates, along with recent legislation enacted which law enforcement officers across the state have said will put the public at greater risk, we the undersigned elected legislators do hereby reaffirm our sworn oath to protect and defend the Constitutional rights provided to Washington citizens. We restate our sincere and genuine respect of the United States Constitution and the Constitution of the state of Washington. No person, no emergency order and no law have the authority to remove these Constitutional freedoms and rights from the people. They are fundamental to our state and nation and guaranteed to the citizens of Washington state and the United States of America. As your elected legislators, we are lawfully sworn to support the Constitution of the United States and the state of Washington, and to faithfully discharge the duties of this office to the best of our ability. J _j. c files this complaint seeking an immediate investigation by the 7 c; a > Federal Election Commission into the illegal spending A* practices of the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee (WRSCIt). As the public record shows, and an investigation will confirm, the NRSC and a series of ostensibly nonprofit, nonpartisan groups have undertaken a significant and sustained effort to funnel "soft money101 into federal elections in violation of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended or "the Act"), 2 U.S.C. 5s 431 et seq., and the Federal Election Commission (peFECt)Regulations, 11 C.F.R. 85 100.1 & sea. 'The term "aoft money" as ueed in this Complaint means funds,that would not be lawful for use in connection with any federal election (e.g., corporate or labor organization treasury funds, contributions in excess of the relevant contribution limit for federal elections). THE FACTS IN TBIS CABE On November 24, 1992, the state of Georgia held a unique runoff election for the office of United States Senator. Georgia law provided for a runoff if no candidate in the regularly scheduled November 3 general election received in excess of 50 percent of the vote. The 1992 runoff in Georg a was a hotly contested race between the Democratic incumbent Wyche Fowler, and his Republican opponent, Paul Coverdell. The Republicans presented this election as a %ust-win81 election. Exhibit 1. The Republicans were so intent on victory that Senator Dole announced he was willing to give up his seat on the Senate Agriculture Committee for Coverdell, if necessary. -

Remarks for Vice President Joe Biden Soles Lecture, University of Delaware 9.16.2011 Dr. Harker, it is an honor to be back on the campus that played such a role in shaping my life. During my years on campus, some of the most transformative events of my generation took place. It was here that I listened to JFK warn us of an impending showdown with Russia during the Cuban Missile Crisis. One year and one month later, standing on the steps of Hullihen Hall, I learned of his death. With my friends in the lounge at Harter Hall, I remember debating the drumbeat of impending war in Vietnam. When I came back here in 1972 as a 29 year-old candidate for the US Senate – embraced by my old faculty and supported by my university, I said: “Our failure… has not been the failure of the people to meet the challenges placed before them, but rather the failure of both our great political parties to place those challenges honestly and courageously before the people.” I was unaware that my career would play out against the most extraordinary period of change in American history. The great Irish poet Yeats once described his country with a phrase that I think describes America today – he wrote “All is changed, changed utterly; a terrible beauty has been born.” That was driven home starkly when I was asked by President Roselle to address the student body at “The Bob” one week after the attacks of September 11th. At the time, I said, we “will not… cannot… must not change our way of life. -

COLORADO SECRETARY OF STATE’S OFFICE ANNUAL REPORT ON CHARITABLE SOLICITATIONS 2003 Part 2 Part Two of the 2003 Annual Report provides summary financial information for all charitable organizations that filed financial reports covering any period that ended in 2002. Information believed to be of particular interest to potential donors has been excerpted from the complete financial report for each organization. On the revenue side, only Total Revenue and Contributions are displayed in the report. Each organization’s complete financial report includes additional revenue categories for Government Grants, Program Service Revenue, Investments, Special Events and Activities, Sales, and Other Expenses. On the expense side, the report displays Total Expenses, Program Services Expenses, Administration-Management-General Expenses, and Fundraising Expenses. Each organization’s complete financial report also includes expense categories for Payments to Affiliates and Other Expenses, which are not reflected in this report. The financial information displayed is information that was on file with the Secretary of State’s office as of noon, December 19, 2003. Since financial reports are due by the 15th day of the fifth month following the close of an organization’s fiscal year, the due dates vary. Nevertheless, the last 2002 reports due were those of calendar year organizations, whose accounting periods ended on Dec. 31, 2002. The due date for calendar year organizations was May 15, 2003. Since up to two extensions of the deadline may be requested by a charitable organization (three months each), all 2002 financial reports were due by Nov. 15, 2003, at the latest. For a number of reasons, it is possible that a charitable organization could be registered now, despite not being listed in Part Two of the 2003 Annual Report. -

Policy bills either pass by today in their House or Senate committee origin or fail to move and die, unless revived in end-of-session political decisions…AKA NTIB…necessary to implement the budget. Next on to the fiscal committee cutoff day in house of origin on Tuesday, February 9 and then floor of origin cutoff on February 17. http://leg.wa.gov/legislature/pages/cutoff.aspx There is never a cutoff for advocacy work - voters/constituents keep calling and emailing legislators for good policy and budget decisions. That being said… The CTE MSOC Funding bill SB 6415 - Concerning career and technical education materials, supplies, and operating costs did not make it out of the Early Learning and K-12 Education committee in the Senate this week.
