Day 1, Saturday, Oct 23: Traveling down I-94 with our traveling companions we enjoy the view of the Minnesota countryside. We will stop en route for you to have lunch before we arrive in the twin cities at our overnight lodging, the Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Minneapolis. You will have time to relax and freshen up before we head out for our dinner this evening.

This is a trip that you and your Grand Children would enjoy. We are having dinner at Buca di Beppo a downtown Italian restaurant. In the spirit of Italian culture the meals are served family-style, meant to be shared and feature the large portions. Their fun and festive semi-private dining rooms are uniquely decorated making it a pleasant and unique experience.

Following a relaxing and delicious meal we will head back to our hotel for a good nights rest.

Day 2, Sunday, Oct 24: This morning after a leisurely included breakfast at our hotel, which is just a few blocks from the theatre, you will have some time to browse and have lunch on your own before the performance at the Orpheum where we will be entertained by “Frozen@. Frozen is a musical with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and , and book by , based on the 2013 film of the same name. The plot narrates the relationship between and , two sisters, who are part of the royalty and are best friends. The relationship between the two – and the family in general – is somewhat shaken by Elsa’s ice powers, a secret that becomes a bit dangerous as they grow and Elsa takes on new responsibilities. You may be wondering when the prince enters the story. That’s the difference: Frozen is no longer a fairy tale about a helpless princess who needs a man to save her. It’s about the love and friendship between two sisters. In fact, there is even a critique of this thing of marrying the princess with the first guy that appears in front of her. The settings and customs of a Disney production are always amazing and I am sure we will all be impressed. The story is touching and I am happy to know that so many children love such a beautiful story.

After an uplifting afternoon at the theatre it is now time to head for home. We share with friends our thoughts of the great performances and laughter we have shared in the Twin Cities. We will make the normal stops en route for comfort as we travel home.
