IELTS is the most popular English language examination in the world, and every year it is taken by 2.5million people. IELTS is recognised by 9000 higher education institutions in the world, as well as thousands of employers. IELTS results are available 13 days after the test date. Cambridge English Language Assessment exams have been well known world-wide for over 100 years, and many higher education institutions recognise them as both entrance examinations and final exams. Employers rate these certificates highly as they evaluate the ability to use English in situations related to studies, work and recreation. BCIE also offers Cambridge English YoungLearners exams for children aged 7-12 (A1-A2). ACCA is the leading international accounting organisation that awards widely recognised international qualifications in the business sphere. ACCA qualification encompasses all entrepreneurial spheres – from financial statements, management accounting, corporate taxation and law to audits and business ethics. The Admission Testing Service exams allow students to take entrance examinations for the best universities in Great Britain. These examinations are taken in order to apply for the programmes of medicine, philosophy, politics, economics, law, mathematics and others. Academic Summer (Great Britain) www.academicsummer.com Participating in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia Academic Summer offers you quality Prep School, GCSEs, IB and A-level preparation and revision courses in July and August. We welcome British and international students aged 7 to 18 and we follow a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach. You will experience a demanding and varied academic programme with us in the summer. In 2016 Academic Summer is located at DLD College in central London and Sidcot School near Bristol. Lessons integrate theory and practice. If you are a scientist, you will find yourself doing practical experiments in the laboratories; if you choose Design and Technology, you will complete a practical project in the workshops. If you are aged 15 to 18 you will choose your subjects and you will also be able to choose specialist weeks to help you prepare for medicine or Oxbridge. If you are aged 13 to 14, you will explore the broad curriculum of the IGCSE and cover a wide range of academic subjects. Academic Juniors is for students age 7 to 12 and offers a full curriculum of sub- jects taught by primary specialists. The organization has offices in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius and Ventspils. Baltic Council provides consultations about elementary and secondary school pro- grammes in Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria, the USA and other countries; foreign language courses and camps all over the world; professional training programmes, as well as possibilities to enrol in higher education institutions.
