George was a Past Grand Knight of the council, Past District Deputy, Past State Council member, beloved Husband and Father, and friend to many of our Knights. Born in Yugoslavia and eventually coming to the United States, George was a service member in the US Military and many who knew him knew he was a very proud American. Those of us who may not have known George very well personally knew him well from our Council meetings for one particular thing that many of us always appreciated. -

ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH 95 MARKET STREET MOUNT CLEMENS, MICHIGAN 48043 August 29, 2021 Phone: (586)468-4578 Website: www.stpetermtclemens.com Hello and happy Sunday! I pray and hope that everyone has been having a great summer; especially our students at St. Mary School. It is that time of year again when all of the students are preparing to return to school. Our first day of school at St. Mary is Monday, August 30th. I have been looking forward to the first day of school since I began on July 1st. I hope that our students are as excited as I am! Over the past few weeks, I have been asking some of our students if they were ready for school to begin. Many of them are very excited to start a new school year, while a few of them are a little more reluctant for school to start. I think my excitement for school to begin is because I get to meet all of our students but I will not be returning to homework. I think I have had enough years of homework. As many in our parish community begin a new school year, I would like to ask that we as a parish community please pray for our students, teachers, and parents. As we have all come to know over the last few years, the pandemic and Covid have not been easy on any of us. I think it has been particularly difficult for our teachers, parents and students who have had to adapt to the ever changing learning environment. -
