A ‘chilli’ room for local neighbourhood centre Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre’s (SNRC) community food bank has received a boost with BHP donating a cool room to the Centre. The Centre currently has donated goods of non-perishable items and bread and work with Scone St Vincent de Paul volunteers who distribute the food. Manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre, Lee Watts said, “I was very excited to receive notifi cation of the funding. The cool room will provide room for more items and food that SNRC has not been able to keep previously. The cool room will make a big difference.” Mt Arthur Coal General Manager, David Boshoff stated BHP was proud to be able to help locals in meaningful ways. When the cool room is not in use, it will be available for hire and will generate income that will go back into the service to support the local community.
