Fiji Cyclone Update – as at 1100 29Feb16 For passengers with travel affected by Cyclone Winston, Rosie Holidays’ policy is as follows: For clients with travel booked to affected hotels and resorts in Fiji for departures until 6 March 2016, Rosie Holidays’ amendment fee is waived for travel rebooked for departures up to 30 April 2016 (unless the affected resort re-opens at a later date). Alternatively, credit can be held in suspense for 12 months from the date of purchase, with no Rosie Holidays’ cancellation fees. Note that airline, hotel and other supplier fees and charges may still apply. 1. Fiji Airways & Fiji Link – Normal operation. Flights back to normal to Labasa, Taveuni and Savusavu. 2. Virgin – all flights operating as normal today Monday 22 Feb. 3. Pacific Island Air – no damage to any helicopters or planes and services are operational. 4. Island Hoppers – fully operational. 5. South Sea Cruises – Day Cruises to South Sea Island (Full Day, Combo Cruise, Finding Nemo and Half Day) are operating normally. Seaspray Day Sailing Adventure is operating but there will be no village visit for approximately one week. Currently there are no other Day Cruises available. All scheduled Resort Connection services to the Mamanuca Islands are now operating normally, excluding Route 3. Any resort guests travelling must have confirmation that their resort will accept house guests. Yasawa Islands service via Route 7 is operating as normal. Any resort guests travelling must have confirmation that their resort will accept house guests. Policies: South Sea Cruises will not be charging for any service that has been cancelled as a result of T.C. Winston. Therefore, any South Sea Cruises' vessel transfers that were booked from 20 to 25 February 2016 to a property that isn't open for operation will not be charged, thus allowing all agents/wholesalers to provide a refund to their clients. For all clients who were booked to travel on a South Sea Cruises day cruise that has been cancelled by the operator will not be charged, thus enabling all agents/wholesalers to provide a full refund to their affected clients. 6. Awesome Adventures Fiji - At present we are trying our best to accommodate all clients who have a confirmed booking with us. However, we do evoke the right to use the substitute clause to alter itineraries to enable all affected clients to be accommodated in an alternative property of a similar standard as originally booked in the event that the originally confirmed property is closed. If Awesome Adventures Fiji is still unable to accommodate any confirmed bookings with the inclusion of the right to substitute clause then clients will be given the option to cancel their booking and receive a full refund. If a client has decided that they will not continue to travel to Fiji as a result of the recent adverse weather and wishes to cancel their reservation due to travel prior to 15 March 2016 to a property that is not scheduled to be open on their date of travel, the clients will be given until 02 March 2016 to advise Awesome Adventures Fiji in writing of their decision and will be given a full refund. Please note, that if there is a property that is included in the clients' package that will be applying a cancellation fee in the event that your client cancels than this associated fee will be passed onto the client. If clients have a confirmed booking to properties who are open for operation the normal cancellation policy applies as follows: Cancellation fees apply on the total package price: Less than 7 days notice 100% Less than 14 days notice 50% Less than 30 days notice 25% 7. Blue Lagoon Cruises - The cruises are operating as per schedule and normal cancellation fees will apply. In the event a client wishes to cancel the following charges apply: More than 60 days forfeit deposit (unless transferring date) 31 to 60 days forfeit 60% of applicable fare Up to 30 days forfeit 100% of applicable fare 8. Captain Cook Cruises – all staff and boats are fine. Next sailing will be the Lau Cruise departing 1March. Due to comms being down with the Yasawa islands it is unknown the impact of some of the smaller villages and islands that the boat visits. Dinner and day cruises will start operating in the next few days (specific date unknown). 9. Blue Lagoon Cruises - 'Fiji Princess' is scheduled to depart Denarau at 12pm tomorrow, Tuesday 23 February and cruise to Nanuya Lailai. The cruise itinerary will be subject to local conditions and adjusted if necessary. 10. Tokatoka – fully operational. 11. Starwood Denarau properties - The Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa, Sheraton Fiji Resort and Sheraton Denarau Villas – have sustained some damage with the extent of damage still being assessed. These properties remain open with limited services available and the key priority being the comfort and ongoing safety of all those in-house. Unfortunately we are still experiencing power failure and certain services such as air-conditioning, hot water, TV and limited guestrooms lighting will be affected until power is fully restored by the Fiji Electricity Authority and we anticipate this to happen in the next day or so. Sheraton Fiji Resort – Unfortunately during this time we do not have hot water, air conditioning, limited guestroom lighting and televisions. Therefore we regret to advise you that the hotel will not be accepting any new arrivals at this stage until the 26th of February. For existing bookings arriving 21st – 25th February inclusive we are recommending that guest either send through an email request to change dates or to cancel the booking entirely which will be without penalty. Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island – closed until further notice. For all Starwood Fiji properties, early departures, date changes and cancellations can be made without penalty up until 25 February for arrivals 21-25 February and are strongly recommended due to the limited services available. 12. Hilton Fiji – fully operational. 13. Radisson Blu Denarau – fully operational. 14. Accor properties - For all reservations with a date of arrival between Saturday 20th February and Friday 26th February – any cancellation or amendment between these dates will not incur a cancellation fee and for any pre-paid reservations, a full refund will be facilitated upon the guest and/or booking agent confirming cancellation/amendment to the individual hotel. For all reservations with a date of arrival after Friday 26th of February – normal cancellation policy will apply. All hotels are operating. All Accor hotels remain on generator as the national power supply in Fiji has not yet resumed. Water service remains intact and fully operational. Food and beverage supplies are well catered for and substantial stock remains in place. Telephone/Internet services remain challenging and are limited. Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa The main pool is open and Waitui Beach Club should be cleaned up and operating by tomorrow/Wednesday. The gardens and grounds have sustained some damage with some trees having fallen, but many have been cleared and the general clean-up continues. Lagoon restaurant, Café La Parisienne, Latitude Bar and Breeze Bar are all open. Salt restaurant is scheduled to re-open this evening on a limited menu. So Spa, the fitness centre and Turtle club are all open. Mercure Nadi, Novotel Nadi and Novotel Suva - fully operational Food & beverage outlets are serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (on reduced menu). 15. First Landing – fully operational. 16. Fiji Orchid – closed until further notice. No bookings. 17. Wananavu – receiving guests from Friday 26 Feb. 18. Volivoli – receiving guests approx 01 June exact date not confirmed. No bookings. 19. Outrigger Fiji – fully operational. 20. Warwick Fiji – fully operational. 21. Naviti – fully operational. 22. Hideaway – fully operational. 23. InterContinental Fiji – fully operational. 24. Shangri-La Fijian – fully operational. Three of our restaurants are currently operational including the Lagoon Terrace, Golden Cowrie Restaurant and our Yanuca Island Cafe. We are currently offering our in-room dining menu at the Black Marlin Bar (and Yanuca Island Cafe) and our Takali lunch and dinner a-la-carte menus at the La Piazza. Our Takali, Cafe Coral and Lagoon Pool bars will re-open once the pools in all these areas re-open in the next two days. Our outlets that are currently closed as a result of the inclement weather should re-open by Wednesday, 24 February 2016. 25. Crusoe’s Retreat – fully operational. 26. The Pearl – fully operational. 27. Nanuku Auberge Resort – will be fully operational by 01Mar16. 28. Royal Davui – taking new arrivals from 24Feb16. 29. Beqa Lagoon Resort – fully operational. 30. Toberua – fully operational and taking overflow guests if required. 31. Castaway Island – receiving guests 01June. Full refunds will be given. 32. Plantation Island, Lomani and Raffles - We’re pleased to inform you that Plantation Island Resort, Lomani Island Resort and Raffles Gateway Hotel have come through Tropical Cyclone Winston safely. All guests and staff are currently safe and the resorts experienced no structural damage. Clean-up is now underway. Those guests who would like to postpone their travel can do so until any date in 2016 that has availability without penalty. Plantation – accepting guests from 23 Feb 16 Lomani – accepting guests from Monday 22 Feb 16 Raffles – accepting guests Monday 22 Feb 16 Malolo Cat - Malolo Cat is running from today for Lomani guests and tomorrow for Plantation guests. For those that would prefer to cancel we can provide an official letter outlining the cyclone details to assist with claiming travel insurance. 33. Vomo – is currently closed until 28 Feb anyway but has sustained some damage. Vomo now receiving guests 15 May 16. VOMO will provide you with the following options for all stays up to and including 14th May, 2016.
