busy 28/08 – 04/09 Stoke Hill Farm, Stoke – pheasants released from pens by unknown person(s) 30/08 – 31/08 Readon Farm, Odiham – 3 crop fields damaged by vehicle involved in poaching / coursing 01/09 – 02/09 Northgate Lane, Farleigh Wallop – several pheasants shot with air-rifle 05/09 – Folly Farm, Kingsclere – theft of Ifor Williams trailer 05/09 – West Farm Popham – Land Rover Discovery reg similar to P599 UYA seen in farm yard acting suspicious 05/09 – 06/09 Hungerford Farm, Winchfield – theft of energiser from field 05/09 – 06/09 Hungerford Farm, Winchfield – theft of battery from field 06/09 – Pitt Hall Farm, Kingsclere – theft of Honda CRX500 quad bike from garage 06/09 – Home Farm, Heckfield, Hook men on quad bike – partridges released and criminal damage to crops 06/09 – Sheldons Farm, Mattingley – as above damage to locks – game birds killed 07/09 – Itchen Down Farm Northington, 4 batteries stolen from pheasant pens 08/09 – 09/09 Southfild Farm, Whitchurch – unknown vehicle driven across fields, suspected poaching / coursing 09/09 – Gray’s Farm, Mapledurwell – farm workshop broken into between 0035/0038 when alarm activated – nil stolen 09/09 – 10/09 Elvetham Farm, Hartley Witney – using quad bikes have killed 100+ pheasants smashed pheasant coops, pens etc 10/09 – Thackhams Farm, Mattingley – theft of field padlock 10/09 – Lodge Farm, Old Basing – blue Honda CRV Y184 WBL involved in poaching incident – men with lurchers 10/09 – Pitt Hall Farm, Kingsclere – red Land Rover W808 VJW seen in sus circs – one to note 11/09 – Penn Croft Farm, Crondall – illegal hare coursing at 10:15 PM 12/09 – Greywell Hill, Greywell – men seen with lurcher dogs on land at 06:16 AM 12/09 – Dummer Down Lane, Dummer – white Transit van Irish plates driven across growing crops suspected poaching 12/09 – Pickaxe Lane, South Swaineshill – green Mitsubishi ‘M’ plate suspected poaching seen with men & lurchers 12/09 – 13/09 Bonhams Farm, Holybourne – damage to crops & partridge pen by vehicle driving through them 14/09 – 15/09 Hale Farm, Hrriard – pheasant feeder been shot with .22 bullet 15/09 – Litchfield Farms, Whitchurch – black Subaru Imprezza RO03 KVE seen in sus circs suspected poaching 15/09 – Orchard Farm, Ewshot – farm building broken into – nil stolen 15/09 – Colt House Lane, Upper Froyal – increased continued poaching including deer 16/09 – Gren Farm, Bramley – mirrors on combine harvester broken in yard by stones and catapults, digger also damaged 16/09 – 19/09 Wootton St Lawrence – theft of Ifor Williams trailer from barn 17/09 – Willesley Warren Farm, Overton – 2 men in red Daihatsu suspected of illegal hare coursing 17/09 – Field Farleigh Church, youths causing disturbance in field with cattle 17/09 – Ford Farm, Upton Grey – farmer verbally abused by man metal detecting when requested to leave private field 18/09 – Wield Road, Preston Candover – blue Ford Mondeo RK09 TZC seen on stubble field – sus coursing – one to note 18/09 – Northington Farm, Overton – illegal hare coursing men with lurchers in black Subaru 19/09 – Hackwod Park / Huish Farms – man & lurcher on land made off from Game Keeper – caught hiding on land 19/09 – 20/09 Clare Park Farm, Farnham – illegal hare coursing on land 19/09 – 20/09 Stables, Lower Farm, Preston Candover – gate lock broken – nil stolen 20/09 – Church Farm, Brown Candover – Mercedes S552 RUH seen in sus circs – men with lurchers – one to note 20/09 – 21/09 Itchen Down Farm, Northington – theft of partridge pen sections 20/09 – 21/09 Lower Wield Farm, Lower Wield – field barrier rammed, crop fields driven over, Honda CRV abandoned 20/09 – 21/09 Fields Berrydown Lane, Bradley – gates rammed & crops driven over by poachers 21/09 – Fields near Cliddesden Primary School – black Ford Maverick MA02 MWO suspected involvement in poaching 21/09 – Fields Micheldever Road, Whitchurch – same vehicle involved in poaching / coursing incident 22/09 – 23/09 Furny Copse Farm, Crookham – theft of lawn mower 23/09 – 24/09 Northgate Lane, Ellisfield – theft of camera from woods put in place after poaching incidents 25/09 – Huish Farm, Old Basing – silver Mitsubishi Shogun VK09 ORU seen sus circs – one to note from Swindon 25/09 – Preston Candover / Ellisfield – orange Honda CRV S927 NFV seen sus circs – one to note from Farnborough 25/09 – 26/09 Willesley Warren Farm, Overton – criminal damage to oil rape fields driven over by poachers 27/09 – Malshanger Farms – 3 men seen on land with air-rifles poaching – Audi A3 EO53 HVA linked 27/09 – 28/09 Furny Copse Farm, Crookham – theft of generators 28/09 – 30/09 Laverstoke Lane, Whitchurch – criminal damage to crops and pheasant pen by unknown vehicle 01/10 – 02/10 Pensdell Farm, Cliddesden – farm gate rammed & 4 fields of crops driven over - poaching 01/10 – 02/10 Church Farm, Cliddesden – grain store broken into – nil stolen 1 02/10 – 03/10 Goleigh Farm, Alton – theft of International 4240 tractor from field – fitted with front loader & forks 04/10 – Ford Farm, Upton Grey – theft of Kawasaki quad bike from workshop – recovered by Police – tracker fitted 05/10 – Dummer Down Farm, Dummer theft of electric fencing battery from field 05/10 – Chilton Manor Farm, Chilton Candover – suspicious blue Transit EA12 OKO – one to note – from Leicestershire As you can see a lot going on at the present, most is poaching related but we still had sixteen outbuildings at farm addresses across the counties broken into. Reminder also that tomorrow (Saturday 7th) is the annual Basingstoke Ag Society ploughing match at College Lane Farm, Ellisfield, RG25 2QE, well worth a visit or entry.
