Winter & Spring 2018 | Aquatics 7 POOL RENTALS Manor and Arroyo pools are available for private rental during non-scheduled hours. Fees range from DART $115-$225 per hour; depending on the group size and facility. Please visit the city website at www. Davis Aquadarts Swim Team will be offering SHADE STRUCTURE RENTALS its Swim School (Dart Swim School) Weekends only this Spring! Lessons will be for children 18 months-10 years old with a variety of Reservations for a shade structure are available levels offered. Lessons will be on Tuesdays, on weekends at both pools. Book your reservation Wednesdays, and Thursdays at Community in person at the pool in advance and enjoy the Pool for 30 minutes. All group classes have guaranteed shade. 8 Aquatics | Winter & Spring 2018 AQUATIC CLASSES LIFEGUARD TRAINING 15 years and up, Community Pool Building The purpose of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. Participants must attend all scheduled sessions and pass the skills/written tests in order to receive certifications. Payment of the course fee does not guarantee certification. VMC RENOVATION Beginning March 5 through August 31, 2018, the Veterans Memorial Center is scheduled to undergo a significant renovation thus leaving the facility unavailable for public rentals. Many aspects of the facility, including flooring, lighting, room fixtures, etc. are being replaced and upgraded. During the construction, many of the City’s classes and ongoing community organization meetings will either be relocated to another City facility and/or may be cancelled during this construction period. Users of the Veterans Memorial Theatre are not anticipated to be affected with the renovation work as this project focuses only on the community center portion of the facility.
