Nash., S.J. was born in St. Louis, Missouri., March 2, 1920. He was graduated from William Cullen McBride High School, st. Louis, June 1938, and entered St. Louis University where he studied in the College of Liberal Arts for three years. He entered the Florissant Novitiate., Florissant, Missouri, August, 1941· In 1945 he received the Bachelor of Arts degree from st. Louis University.
